My phone says line in use what does this mean? I cant use my home phone

That usually means that something else is plugged into the circuit that the phone is connect to and the other thing is using the phone. It could be some other things though like bad phone, bad connection to the line, phone is disconnected etc.

Comm error 345 ? What does it mean?

Check phone line. use a normal phone and plug into the same phone wall socket that the MFP is using, do we have a dial tone? Do we have a noisy line, any buzz or crackel will cause issues if there is no dial tone ring line supplier, If it is noisy line do the same

Also check phone line is plug into "line" socket in the back of machine not "ext'

Also check no prefix is required to dial out, unit needs its own phone line..

Also try using resolution of fax as standard not fine, this requires less info to go threw the line

When faxing it's saying phone line error what does this mean?

Hi, whenever you have a Phone Line Error, it means that
A: The Line isn't connected.
B: There is a fault on the line prohibiting successful transmission and reception of FAX.
C: There is a fault with the Modem in the FAX.
So Check there is actually a working line & connected up.
Check that the line is OK, get your Telco to test it.
Check the Modem in your FAX. and that the cord is plugged in correctly Check your phone cable.

When it says LINE ERROR what dose this mean

That indicates that there is static or interference on the phone line. You will need to call your phone service provider for them to test the line.

What does the headset symbol on a nokia 6070 screen mean? I can make calls but the line goes dead after the connection is made

It means that there must be a head phone or something still inserted in your phone. the line goes dead because the phone thinks that head phones are in and transfer it throught the head phones

Line ringing on different phones

Im guessing by Lucent 308 you mean Lucent Partner ACS. Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout

Lucent Partner 18D - stop ringing of line 2 at phone

From extension 10 or 11

Press feature 00
Left intercom
Left intercom
right intercom
enter your extension number
all lines that are programmed on your phone will light up.

Solid means immediate ring. Slow flash means delayed ring. Really fast flash means no ring.

Press the line you wish to not ring, 2 times.

Feature 00 when you are done.

It means that there is no phone line active at that outlet. you may need to call your local phone service provider to activate that line or move the phone to an outlet that is active.

I have a question in hopes that someone can help me find the answer to. I have been using magicjack for over a year now and no problems what so ever. Now i am gettting a solid red light when reseting everthing ( unpluging all cords and making sure they are plugged up property. A few days ago my internet went down for a couple of hours then cam back on, i got a notification from comcast saying that it would be down but will be fixed shortly. Now i can't use my home phone and my internet is working just fine bc i am able to play xbox?Ps3 games online and browing the web I.E. facebook. Could this be that my magicjack usb device is fried!?! My phone just keeps reading "No Home Line" I have searched this and found a new outlet that is active and pluged my magicjack into the active outlet and i can turn on my phone look at it and everything works just fine except no dail tone. the phone will start counting as i am makng a call and read the numbers i have entered but there is no daile tone. Can anyone find out what seems to be the malfunction. Oh and i switched out the old internet cable with a new one. SO I would really love your help. Thanks in Advance.
