First the obvious, most are electrically connected to a ground fault device, ether an outlet or a breaker. BEFORE ADDING WATER, check these out to make sure they are not tripped. Most all tubs have a minimum water level which must be reached before the jets will operate. This is usually a piece of trim located above the depth of the jets. Make sure the tub is filled to cover this part. If you cant identify the water level device fill the tub so that all the jets are covered by an inch or 2. Some tubs have push button switches or touch pads to control the motor, some have touch sensitive trim. There may be some sort of medallion from the maker on the tub, simply touching it will start the tub. Once you get it going most tubs have a built in timer that turns off the pump in 15 - 20 minutes. For more tub time just hit the switch again but keep in mind that extended exposure in a hot tub can mess with your blood pressure and cause you to loose balance or pass out, hence the 20 minute timer.

Aeromax tub some jets not blowing air

Hi Claude.
If your spa jets appear to be pulsating or pausing, first check to make sure your filter isnot clogged. If your filter appears to be okay, you should next take a look at your hot tub's water level. If there is too little water, air could be working its way into the system through the jets.

Lost half of my jets on one side of the tub only.I have tried closing the jets that do work half, does not make a difference to the jets not working.Would it be best to empty the tub and start over?

it's likely due to an air lock. Here's what you can do to resolve this issue:

Manually Clearing an Airlock:
Run the jets on low for about 30 seconds.
Then run the jets on high for another 30 seconds.
Repeat this process 3 or 4 times.
If you hear a gurgling sound and see air bubbling up, continue running your hot tub until it pushes all the air out.
If this doesn't work after several attempts, try a different approach.
Bleeder Valves or Pump Method:
Some spas have bleeder valves that allow you to bleed air out of the lines.
First, turn off the spa at the breaker.
Access the pump and loosen the valve to allow the air to escape.
When the air has bled out (you'll notice it turns from hissing air to a stream of water), close the valve.
Run the pump to ensure the jets are now pumping water as expected.
Why Are the Jets Not Working on One Side Only?:
Many hot tubs have two water pumps.
If the jets on only one side of your hot tub stop working, there could be an airlock in only one of the pumps.
It could also be a blockage in the jet lines for that side or a problem with the internal mechanism of the jet itself.
Can You Use a Spa with an Airlock?:
It is not recommended to use a hot tub with an airlock.

I know I can take a bath without turning on the jets. However; does the bath water with soap flow back into the jets? I like bubble baths, If I leave the jets off can I use the bubble bath without having...

The soapy water will fill all of the jets, tubes and the pump assembly. Will it hurt the tub if the jets are not running? The soap film will build up in the jets, tubes and pump assembly and can possibly cause damage if the tub is run at a later date. Contact the tub manufacture and see if there is a safe bubble bath you can use.

Whirlpool tub, jets come on and won't shut off. No water in tub.

Is it a jetted tub, or a air bath tub with holes or jets in the floor? If it has holes or jets in the floor, the control box is bad and needs replaced. If it is a jetted tub, there may be a water level sensor, if so the sensor may be bad causing the tub to turn on.

We have purchased a whirlpool tub model # 1714019020. It has side jets & 4 jets at the back. Can you tell me if there is some way to adjust the back jets or to turn them off as they spray water everywhere...

Some jets you can stick your finger into the jet its self and move it in 360 degrees. Others have a notched round trim piece that when turned counter clockwise, will loosen the jet where you can manipulate it as described above. You will need to retighten it after your done so it doesn't end up the same way. If you have trouble, you may want to use a little spray lubricant on it so it will loosen.
