This is the only advice I can give you.

The next step would be to disassemble the Epson, and clean the Pads/Heads. Click on link below.:

I located a page on http://www.fixyourownprinter.com forum, which had plenty of details about similar issues.

I won't buy another Epson product. For one thing, they do this so you're forced to buy the ridiculously expensive Epson brand ink cartridges. The other thing I hate...is that even if you print everything in black ink, the printer won't operate if a color cartridge is out. Again, just forcing you to run out an buy color cartridges. My printer is going in the trash can. I'll just stop at Kinkos once in awhile...and do my copying all at once for 10 cents apiece

How can I use non-epson ink cartridges in the Epson printer?

Yes and No. Non branded ink cartridges need to be properly programed to work correctly. If you are going to buy non branded, make sure you can trust the seller. Research the seller and you should be ok. Branded is always the best but also always more expensive and non branded always comes with a degree of risk.

Epson rx595, installed compatible ink cartridges some time ago and it worked fine, now the yellow and the light magenta given error (cannot recognise ink cartridges,) put original epson that are empty back...

Swith machine off
clean pins in cartridge holder with (lightly) damped lint free cloth
Now try with compatibles

By the way, never mix originals with compatibles.

EPSON R545 waste ink saturated

You need to reset your printer. Goolgle search for "indoreset for rx595" and download it. That is the program you need to use to reset the waste ink pad counter back to zero.

How to clean my Epson RX595 Photo All In One Printer printer nozzles. My printer is always needing print head cleaned. I run clean print head but still have issues with yellow and black. I have installed...

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?
ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.

These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors. It also will not let you print anything, if only one of the cartridges is empty.

I wanted to print only Black, and would not let me, because I did not have any ink in one of my cyan cartridges. Go figure.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. .

IF YOU ARE USING GENERIC CARTRIDGES, MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU DISABLE THE INK MONITOR.

This is the only advice I can give you.

Epson All In One - RX595

Unfortunately the machine's firmware is designed to check all the different areas of the machine before it will allow to machine to be operational and the ink cartridges are one of the things that are essential. You have to realize that the companies that make these all in one devices have to make a profit to stay in business and the sale of the consumables like ink cartridges are where they make the bulk of their profits. If you want to scan with out having to buy ink cartridges you'll need to get a stand alone scanner it'll be a lot cheaper to operate over time.

Epson rx595 cannot recognize ink cartridge

Just had this happen to me. Turned it off, turned it back on... nothing. In/out with the cartridge several times and when I blew on the contacts of the printer (where the little microchio on the cartridge touches) it finally worked. Did the blowing on the contacts help? Maybe, but more likely is that the it was just repeatedly trying to d oit before the machine figured it out.

Epson RX595 printing problem.

Yes, under the print setting, when you choose to print in grayscale, there should be an option somewhere that says what iks to use.  Select the option that says Black Cartridge Only.  If this does not work, then it could be the printer is programmed no to run without all of the cartridges installed.  Hope this Helps You
