Bush TV not coming on but when i press power button red light is flashing and the TV comes on for like 5 milliseconds

Count the flashes, that's and error code telling you whats wrong with the TV. Then go on line type in make and model no. and number of flashes. for example ( Sony trinatron model 46xxxxx 5 flash error code ) This will tell what is wrong with the TV and what to replace.

Self protection circuit will cause this---see if blinks are in a sequence---5 blinks, pause and 5 blinks etc---that will be a error code and you Can Google the model number to learn what the error is and what in general causes it.
