TV LC32SB24U will not respond to the remote control. I check the remote signal using a camara cell phone by pointing the eye of the remote towards the lens of the cell phone camera. I press each button on the remote while viewing through the digital viewer on the camera. All buttons flickerand or steady light coming from remote when a button is pressed. I also, tried 3 different universal remote control without any luck. Therefore, this tells me is not the remote. Laeves the TV Sensor....please help!!!!!!!Thanks in advance Rico..........email: [email protected]

Are you using a remote from a cable issued cablebox or the orginal remote? I noticed my cable company DVR remote stopped working when the OPC setting on the Picture menu of the TV was set to the 'ON' position. Once turned to the 'OFF' position it stopped the OPC feature from activating which seemed to interfere with the response of the remote for some reason.

What can be the problem if my iKonvert remote is not working?

Hi Merlyn Rudge, you can do a test to see if your remote control is broadcasting
Take your cell phone, put it in camera position and point the emitting LED of the remote control towards the camera and press any key, if the LED turns on, the remote control is emitting
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

Tv s eye wont pickup the signal of the remote.

check that the remote is operational
turn on your cell phone camera and point the remote at the lens
if the remote is working there will appear a white dot on the phone screen when you press the remote buttons
if not it is the remote and not the receiver in the tv set

Thought remote was broke, so bought a new one, still cannot use remote for tv & it is the remote for this model

What is the make and model number of this TV? LG TV?
Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

2) If the remote checked out OK, then look at the back of the TV for the "REMOTE INPUT", use a mini-phone plug and insert the plug into the remote input jack in and out a couple times to clean the switch contacts that select between the front IR receiver of the TV or the rear panel IR input jacks

My samsung led remote control has just stopped working and i can't get it to work again. I've changed the batteries and i cannot find the reset button. I've unplugged the power from the wall and still no...

We need to find out first if the remote is putting out the IR signals or not, or the problem is in the TV IR receiver module.

Remote doesn't work - have new remote - tv doesn't respond

It may have the IR receiver module problem inside the TV. Just to be sure check both old and new remotes:

Vizio VW32L HDTV10A stopped responding with Vizio

Change the batteries in your remote. If your cat was laying on a button it could have drained them.

Here's tip - you can use your camera on your cell phone to see the IR signal coming out of your remote. Point the remote at your cam and press "On" or any button. You should see a bright flash with every key stroke.
