Text messaging does not work

For some reason when I turn my phone on it takes a very long time to be able to access text messaging because the phone says that the memory is not ready. I can't access my inbox, I can compose messages, and I'm actually not receiving messages either!

If someone could help me out with this I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks

This is not a problem. All cell phones when switched on it takes some time for the sim card to get ready.Although you can transfer your contacts to your phone memory to avoid it.

How to listen to text messages in iphone?

There are two ways to listen to your text messages on iPhone:
  • By using Siri, simply give Siri a command such as "Read my text messages" or "Read my latest text messages".
  • By turning on the Speak Selection function in Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech and then tapping your messages.

How do I fix my talk to text feature?

The "Cannot Connect" message indicates that your device is not able to access the internet, either through your cellular service provider (ie. Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) or through a Wi-Fi router if you happened to be connected to one. You must have a data plan in order to gain access through your provider. Also check the settings on your phone to make sure you are connecting to a Wi-Fi if you happen to have access to one at home or work place.

HOW DELIVERY REPORT OF TEXT MESSAGE WILL COME

Hello,

Go to the phone menu, press messaging, press options, scroll down to settings and press it. Press Text Message, and you will see "Receive report", then press it to turn it on.

When Delivery report is enabled in your text message settings, each time you send a text message, a delivery report message will pop out.

Take care

Deleting Texts

The only way i found to fix this problem is to do a hard reset.

In your phone select start > settings > security > master clear

there is a password required to perform this operation: the default is 0-0-0-0 (zero, zero, zero, zero).

Unable to format my nokia 6288

Fully charge the battery, then power the phone on while it's still plugged in to the charger. Now you should be able to power the phone on and delete all those messages.

Samsung Cell phone refusing text messages

I had the same error message on my Samsung a900. I deleted everything and then did a soft power off. The first power off/on didn't work but after turning the phone off for about 5 minutes and then turning it back on, all the messages I missed were received all at once.

I530 text messaging issue

To be able to send and reply to text messages you must have NOL net access. Press menu(left of the left arrow key), scroll to net, press ok(if an error message appears contact nextel for internet service), scroll to text messaging, press ok. From there you can write, read and reply to text messages. The reason for having to do it this way is because this phone as well as others with nextel were being produce when text was first being introduced to nextel, at that time motorola wasn't making nextel phones with the option of text, so it was up to the provider to give text access(via. net).
