I have the front loading Maytag and was using HE soap but with maybe too much Shout detergent to clean some stains. for the first time with my maybe two year old machine, some limited suds came from the machine. I turned off the machine and opened the door to see excessive amounts of suds. I closed the door and restarted the machine which was in mid cycle with 71 minutes remaining (I had turned on a few functions which added to the timeing). Al of the lit function lights are still operating and I can change the temperature and other settings. However the machine itself will not begin its operations. There is a limited amount of clothing in the machine with a limited amount of water and some suds. What do you suggest that I do? Thank you. Mike Michalske

Hi Mike. I am Kelly. I noted you went the chat route first before your p;ost ended up here.

Take the drain hose from the drain and maually drain the machine until you can not get any more water out of it. Then unplug the machine for 5 - 10 minutes so that the filter sensor will reset. For some unknown reason it seems the sensor is working but it did not trip and error code on the display panel.

If it still does not work after the manual drain you may have to open the filter door and open the filter to allow it to completely drain and do the same 5 - 10 min plug out of wall / power off routine.

Just one more comment... if you do get it to work again you can do a bang up job cleaning cycle by running a cycle wth 1/4th cup dishwashing Powder and about 1 cup of bleach. It will descale everything and avoid the fussy performance your seeing now. I would do the cleaning cycle about every 90 days.

SUD code still coming up after having changed the pump and cleaned the filter.

The Suds error is generated by not using High Efficiency (HE) detergents or using too much of it, or adding additives as well as HE like stain removers, Oxyclean or Calgon. Try a hot wash with no detergent at all. Towels are good, because in most cases, they aren't actually stained.

When you say you cleaned the drain hose, did you remove it, push a broom handle through it and then run a garden hose down it. I have a drain hose that had an apple stalk in it and it had gathered enough fluff to seriously constrict the flow of water.

This error code indicates excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. This could be caused by using too much detergent or not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds.Jun 16, 2020

Why maytag neptune washer water pouring out soap dispenser door?

Either there is a sock stuck between the inner tub and the water
inlet to the tub or more likely you have been using to much liquid detergent and cold water wash all the time . This can cause the supply tube below the dispenser to be plugged up. Have fun cleaning it. Warm wash should always be used. Detergent needs the heated water to work properly .
only other possibility is mice building a nest if the washer hasn't
been used in along time.

I'm getting small orange spots/stains on my clothing after washing them in my Maytag washing machine. it is a 2010 machine too. Any thoughts as to what could be causing the stains?

Unless there is a child's crayon or something similar causing it, then suspect that the agitator shaft seal, or the drum seal is leaking oil into the drum. Hopefully, there is still warranty on the machine. Good luck!

Does the Neptune have to have HE laundry detergent?

Yes you need to use HE detergent is this machine.1st reason is regular soap will suds to much and make the unit go into suds lock. 2nd HE soap will not damage the bearings and seals like regular soap could. 3rd He will clean better and you will be using less product...

Soap suds on the door at the end of a wash cycle. Miele E526

With all modern front loading washers, you might find that the amount of detergent you need is much less than what is recommended by the detergent makers!

First, be sure you're using the He (High Efficiency) detergent and try using only 2 or 3 tablespoons of detergent. If you've heavily stained clothes, be sure to pre-treat them rather than adding more detergent. That should also help with the extra soap left in the clothes after a complete wash cycle.

Give this a try and adjust the detergent as needed to get the best results for your situation.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regard!

Odors on the clothes after washing in Maytag front loader

The brand of your front loader is not that material on this issue. What is happening is that your old top load washer may have used as much as 45 gallons of water per cycle, while some front loaders use as little as 12. Because of the low water use, you must cut back on the additives you are using. Use only 1 tablespoon of HE detergent (even less if 2x or 3x detergent) per load. If you use fabric softener, use only 1 teaspoon per load. Odor on clothes after wash is indicating that the detergent and or softener has not been fully rinsed out. If you throw a load of washed towels into your machine and start a cycle without any soap, then stop the cycle, you should not see any suds. If you do, there is obviously soap left in the clothes. With bath towels, the towels are used to absorb clean water off a clean body. They do not need soap when you wash them, and never use fabric softener on towels.

Front Loading LG Washing Machine leaves smelly sludge in wash tub

This machine has a tub clean feature that you're supposed to run with bleach. I did this and it helped the smell s bit. Recently we had an error code and the repair man that came to fix it gave me some good tips. His experience has been that the smell is from too much soap causing build up in the seal and along the tub. His suggestion was to cut back on the amount of he detergent (he said a tablespoon is sufficient). His company recommends using a product called Whirlout (you can buy it at Home Depot). It was originally meant to clean scum out of hot tub jets. Apparently if you call LG they will recommend this product, but haven't bothered to suggest it in the owner's manual. I was told to put one to two capfuls directly into the tub (not the detergent bay) and run the tub clean cycle. I used it last night and it worked - no more musty, yucky smell!

My Maytag front loading washer does not fully rinse cloths MAH8700A. I purchased this washer about 6 months ago. I usually wash small loads but have noticed it doesnt matter what size load. When first...

Is the drain path free-flowing? That is, does the water eject freely during spin/rinse? Maybe there's a restriction in the line, or it's too high above the washer.
