2007 ford ranger, low tire indicator is on. New set of tires

2007 ford ranger, low tire indicator is on. Tire pressures all good Is the in-tire transmitter the same for all vehicles? One of mine may be defective. Do I have to get this part from Ford or can I get it from the tire store? Other than installing the new transmitter is there any thing else that needs to be done to resolve the low tire indication icon on on the dash? Thank you very much for your help.

You might want to try buying it from https://www.levittownfordparts.com. They have a lot of parts and accessories you can choose from.

Check your spare tire also. It has a transmitter. And yes you can buy at some tire stores. Not all carry them.

This is the tire pressure indicator. It is saying that you have a tire that has low pressure. Or it can mean that there is a defective tire pressure sensor,

Low tire pressure tight is on and i checked the tires and pressure is fine. how do i get the light to go ouy

If all tires are properly inflated you have a bad tire pressure monitor. It is connected to the valve stem inside of the wheel. Need to go to tire store or repair center that has a tire pressure monitor scan tool. It will tell which sensor needs to be replaced.

Tpms light is on have a 2008 kia sportage

TPMS is the tire pressure monitoring system. This is usually because one of your tires is low.
Here is what KIA says about it:
Once the low pressure tire is reinflamed to the recommended pressure and installed on the vehicle, the TPMS malfunction indicator and the low tire pressure telltale will be extinguished. If the low pressure and TPMS malfunction indicators are not extinguished after about 20 minutes of continuos driving, please visit an authorized KIA Dealer.

If you have to bring it to the dealer, they will most likely have to replace one of the tire pressure sensors.

Thanks for asking and good luck!

Gmc 2007 -----service monitor system message and low tire icon comes on when i start my truck it flashes for a while then stays on solid . i can clear it by pressing the reset the odometer comes up but the...

Hi, this is indicating a low tire pressure issue. The first thing to do, is check all of the pressures, according to the list on the label of the driver door. I say check all, because, if you have had the wheels off, new tires, brakes, or rotations, the relearn may not have been done, and the tire positions, may not be as described. So check all pressures, and if 1 is low, this is the issue. If they are all good, and the light persists, you need to visit the dealer, as you may have a problem with a sensor. Good luck...Coop

Low tire pressure lamp on after tire replacement & two tire pressure sensor were replaced. costco tech says dealer has to reset. Anything I can do myself? thanks Harry

yes it will keep the low tire pressure indicator lamp on because of the replacement of the two tire pressure sensors being replaced.
the new 2 sensors is not recognized by the the system. it has to be brought to the dealer for reprogramming.

Low tire pressure indicator ligt on

this is covered by warranty if it is not just a low pressure concern. Did you chek your owner manual to see if you need to reset? Did you check the spare?

2007 Ford Ranger

Hi, I also own a 2007 Ford Ranger. That's the TPMS light. It's telling you the tire pressure is low. Check the tire pressure and if make sure it's where it needs to be (there's a sticker in the door jamb that tells you what the tire pressure should be set to.

Oh, and I found a PDF copy of the 2007 Ranger owners manual here - http://www.fordf150.net/2007/

Lexus ls430 2004 tire pressure indicator

Veve713:
You probably didn't need new tires unless you had some miles on it. Remember that the spare tire also has a pressure monitor as well. It most likely is causing the low tire pressure light on the dash and only needs to be inflated back to what ever your other tires are set to. I had the same problem on my RX and took it back to the dealership where they told me since the spare is exposed to the same elements (it's under the back of the RX - you have to use the tire iron to let the spare down), it will inevidably lose air.

Good luck.
