SOURCE: is not compatible with windows 7

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg

SOURCE: Driver for logitech Quickcam Express V-UH9 for windows 7

I'm afraid there is no solution. Logitech took the decision not to support older webcams like this in Windows 7. If you look at the driver matrix on the following site, you'll see there is no Windows 7 driver... http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3428

Sir, I brought logitech QuickCam 8.1.3 four years ago. That time it was working. but now I am not able to install it. In the middle please wait message is coming and it is not progressing. I...

Mr. Bhakat,

I'm so sorry to hear that. The problem description though is not clear to me. What is the operating system you are installing this QuickCam to? Is it Windows XP or Windows 7? The reason I am asking is that 4 years ago, Windows 7 was not known to computer's yet. Equipments back then have firmwares which were compatible with Windows XP. Now, in order to make the web cam work you either have to downgrade the operating system to XP or replace the camera with the one compatible with Windows 7. Sorry to say that it is not much of help but I really would like to give you the reason why you cannot successfully install this computer to windows 7.

Thank you for choosing FixYa!

Not wroking on my windows 7 ultimate

Neither Logitech nor Microsoft wrote drivers for this webcam for Windows 7.

As a result, it is not supported by Windows 7 and will most likely never be supported.

It's my suspicion that Microsoft gets kick-backs for not supporting old hardware so the peripheral makers can make money selling new equipment.

Logitech Quickcam 902

If you have good experience with this cam in an earlier OS try running it in Compatibility Mode.
Download the software and right click on the webcam icon.
Select 'Properties' and then click the 'Compatibility' tab.
Check the box to run in CM and select the OS
Click 'Apply' and 'OK'

Click on your cam for that model's support

Quickcam 8.1.3 vs windows 7

Download the software for the OS you used the camera on before
Right click on the shortcut icon on the desktop and select 'Properties'
Select the 'Compatibility' tab
Check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for'
Use the drop down menu to find the OS you successfully used the cam for
Click 'Apply' and 'OK'
Trial and error the other settings on this page - I think I checked 'disable visual themes' but not sure now ( Windows 98 was a long time ago !! )

Will the logitech quickcam stx work with windows 7

No, you can install it now. There should be no issue with upgrading later.
Only thing I would suggest is that you check if the webcam is compatible with Windows 7, but I think almost all Logitech webcams are, so no issue.
