You may have turned it off. Check your "function" or "f" keys or the on/off button may be above the touch pad

HP 2530p EliteBook - touchpad stopped working. Scrolling works except touch scrolling on right side of pad) and right button, but that's all. Wireless mouse works fine.

To access Mouse Properties, select Start - Control Panel - Hardware and Sound -Mouse.

Use Mouse Properties in Windows to customize settings for pointing devices, such as button configuration, click speed, and pointer options.

My Genius Mousepen 8x6 tablet isn't working with the pen. If the pen touches the tablet, the light lights up, but the cursor doesn't click and it won't move either. The mouse is working fine, though.

My i608 pen stopped working today. I've had it for a month. The mouse was working fine, but the pen wouldn't work at all. Then I left the mouse on the pad and used the pen while the mouse was on the pad, and the pen started working again. Now it works even without the mouse on the pad. Did it re-establish the radio connection or something by doing that? Anyway, saved me the $25 replacement cost.

Left click button on the pad won't work.

f the left-click button on your touchpad has slowly stopped working and now will not work, well, it's just dead. However, do the following.

Go into your Control Panel and make sure your Mouse Settings haven't been changed.

If the settings have not been changed, you have two options. Either use an external mouse like you've been doing or ship it back to the manufacturer to get it fixed. Using an external mouse sounds like the simplest plan, though.

Hope this helps.

Dell latitude c610 touch pad left button problem

Will your laptop work properly with an external mouse? If so, check your touchpad settings in "Control Panel" by selecting "Mouse". Here you can reassign your Buttons. Try setting your Right Button function to "Double Click". If the "Double Click" function works on your Right Button then chances are you have a problem with your Touchpad Assembly which means it will have to be replaced. Dell refers to it as a "Palmrest" which they will replace if still under warranty.

you may wish to go to the acer website and look up that model... download the driver for the touchpad and buttons again. reinstall that and see if it fixes the issue
