You can't order for just usb cord on net because it comes alongwith charger and battery. The best way to buy it would be go to your nearest computer shop take the camera alongwith you and ask them for the usb cord. They will check the connector type and will provide you the cord. Don't forget to check the serviceability before leaving the shop.
Hello. To connect them you need a Canon USB cord which will plug into your Canon and into your laptop. Go to Canon.com to order over the internet, most any camera shop that carries Canon, possibly even Walmart or Staples. Just take your Canon with you to be sure you get a cord that is designed for your model. Joe
You may need to finalize the disk first if you haven't already. If the it doesn't show that anything is on it, try to finalize it again. Other than that it should work.
In order to finalize the disk you must have the power cord plugged in to the Camera. Then finalize will be an option on the menue. So no one does it on accident. After it is finalized you will be able to open it up on the computer or on most DVD players.I have the dame camera, I love it..
take the camera into a computers store they should have a cord if not they can order. or try ebay .. you shoukdnt need the cd for the pictures to load on the pc. i have a nikon and have never used the cd . my pc just picks up the camera when its hooked up..
This camcorder model has the firewire port. Please check the manual carefully to find its location.
You need to switch on the camera. Keep it in play/ edit mode.
Open movie maker. Its should detect the camera now.
If not, try installing the software which came with the camcorder. It might have any drivers.
I don't know why they did this, but this camera requires the camera to be plugged into the AC adapter (via battery charger) in order to be able to transfer the data to the computer.
Yes, if using a PC you will see the drive in My Computer if it is plugged in with the USB cord and turned on. It should pop up as a new drive as soon as it is turned on. Double click on the new drive to get the pics. If however, you are still using Win 98, you will need a driver from the manufactures website in order to get the pics.
I had to install the software that came with the camera before it would properly work. Windows would recognize that some USB device had been plugged in but would not properly be able to tranfer data. Hope this helps.
If the camera has removable memory card then the best buy is a USB card reader.
As for cords generally- they are pretty universal
PC/Photo stores have them or the usual mail order
