My Sony Ericson k800i is showing an operation failed screen when im trying to access the games or application menu and am looking for a free solution as sony not being very helpful.

the only solution is reprogram! using SETOOL!

had this same prob for one month.but it is now solved..........
u have 2 update ur phone software to solve dis..
but if u r using a unlocked version,u have to again unlock it(after the software update)

when i wanna install game or other applications into my k800i, it gave me sad responses, it shows 'operation failed'. then i cry.

when i switch on it shows only sony erricson logo in k800i

Yeah I'm having the same porblem. When i try to start any applications or games menu i get a pop up saying application failed. I'v formatted both my memory card and phone memory and reset the phone but to no avail> ARGGGGHHHH!!!

Can someone please send me the solution and if it iis a recurring problem in many K800is will i get my money back?

It sounds like a fault with the software on the phone, you should trying using the Sony Ericsson update service to update the software on the phone. Its free and can be found here

Possibly not enough memory free in the phone.
Delete some old txt msgs, browser history, browser cache and anything else you don't need.

you can get the games back into ur phone 4rm the nearby se care center as  these are the default games provided by SE
