My cell is china phone, and i cant receive mms msge. what seems to be the problem? how can i activate my mms settings?

You should check MMS profile setting. The proper setting should be configured before sending or receiving MMS. To retrieve the MMS automatically, you should set the settings at "Auto download" settings. To check,

1. Go to Message from the idle screen.


2. Go to "Settings" and then "Multimedia messages."


3. Select "Receiving options" and "Home network."


4. Go to "Foreign network" menu and check the status


5. If it is set at "Auto download", you can receive MMS automatically.


6. If it is set at "Manual", you should operate MMS retrieve function manually.

Try retrieve the message for several times. check MMS settings. or may be the MMS has expired at the server and not available to download.

GPRS and the MMS settings are send by the network operator.. so call them and ask them to send you the settings for the same. After receiving the settings, install them and restart the cell.. and enjoy :)

To get GPRS/MMS setting, you need to contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office.
They will send you the settings for your model. You will receive service settings in the special text message called as smart message. Please save the settings to your phone and set it has default settings. Then you can start using the GPRS/MMS in your phone.

Yes you need to activate it in order to receive mms, just contact the customer service of T-Mobile and ask for the mms settings for your phone.

You will need to configure MMS manually For china mobiles manuals, software and drivers check chinamanuals.com (search for your model or just ask them) - they have a N95 manual with provider settings!

Automatic Activation of GPRS/MMS/WAP
Go to Menu -> Services -> WAP -> Settings -> Edit Profile
Select Sun WAP, Press Activate Profile and Save
Go to Menu -> Messages -> MMS -> Message Settings -> Server Profile
Select Sun MMS, Select Activate Profile and Save
For corporate accounts, fax a letter of request and ID of the authorized signatory to 395-0138. Approval and activation maybe slightly delayed.
Text “ACTIVATE” and send to 2300
If unable to activate,please call Sun Customer Hotline (200 on your mobile phone).
* If surfing or MMS sending does not work or results in an error, please proceed to the next step for manual setting.

Manual Activation of GPRS/MMS/WAP
Setup/Enable GPRS
Go to Menu -> Services -> Data Account -> GPRS
Select Sun GPRS
Account Name: “Sun GPRS”
APN: “wap”
Select SUN MMS
Account Name: “Sun MMS”
APN: “mms”
Exit and save settings

Setup/Enable MMS
Go to Menu -> Messages -> MMS -> Message Setting -> Server Profile

ur wrong in my n95 china mms and gprs are working properly i know its not the original one but its quite ok for me. you can even connect it to your dvd player with usb and play all the multimedia you can put on its external flash memory you can upgrade up to 8gb mem.

Hi Kim, Contact your provider and ask them to send you there WAP and MMS settings, usually when you recieve theese you switch off your phone, power it back up and YOU need to send a picture to activate the MMS settings with your provider. Good Luck!
