Something is still plugged with lint,if the vent line is long blow it out with a leaf blower to clean it out,you have to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into,if the filter is on top remove the vent line, remove the back panel, remove the lint filter and the two screws in front of it and remove the four screws and clean out the duct,if the filter is in front take off the bottom panel, remove the filter and clean the duct, also vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,when the dryer gets to hot the thermal fuse pops as a safety so you still have a block somewhere

could have abad thermostat, does the dryer cycle, does the heater turn on and then off,if the vent line isn't blocked and you can try to run dryer with vent line removed from the back of dryer to check you could have a bad thermostat or the heater is bad,one of the coils could be touching the metal bracket but something is overheating the dryer most of the time it's from bad air movement

Go ahead and replace thermostat that is supposed to regulate the normal operating temp. of the dryer. It seems to me that its not cutting the heat off when it has reached the correct air temp. (155)
the part number for that cycling thermostat is 3387134 you can pick it up where you gotten the thermal fuses from

Maytag performa elecric dryer blows thermal fuse after 20 loads

you need to clean out the dryer and the vent line, the air isn't moving like it should, there is a block some where and when it heats up hotter than it should it pops the thermal fuse,if you have a long run on the vent line blow it out with a leaf blower,go outside and make sure nothing is blocking the air flow, some outside vents have cages on them so animals can't climb into the vent line, good idea but now it's a lint catch, the air can't blow out and the thermal fuse pops or the dryer takes forever to dry clothes, then clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,you shouldn't have any problems after that, clean it out at least once a year so this doesn't happen again and you won't have any dryer fires, hope this helps, good luck

Thermal fuse keeps blowing. Dryer heats up too

The problem will be either your vent is stopped up or the cycling thermostat and the high limit thermostat are bad. If the vent is clean, both the cycling thermostat and the high limit thermostat are welded closed. Both are supost to open to avoid over heating. Go to www.partselect.com and enter your complete model number. It will bring up diagrams of you machine. From there you can find the parts ans also order them if you want to. Good luck.

I have a May Tag dryer which blows the Thermal Fuse.

I am not 100% sure, but I think that the model that maytag had with that dryer. When I was working for my local dealer I had to change several of those, and it about 2 weeks time they blew.
