try to replace your laptop charger that compatible to your laptop.... if doesnt work; i think the problem is power circuit of your motherboard... try to apply assembling dis assembling to your laptop... in order to refresh or reset a a hardware configuration .... if you cant do that .. try to contact near computer technician to your place..
Without knowing how old your laptop is, I suspect that the problem is the charger, if its over 1-2 years old, you may have to replace the charger, the problem may be that the laptop is draining too much power for the worn out charger to provide and it switches to battery power instead.
When the laptop is turned off there is less of a drain on the charger and it still has enought juice in it to charge the battery, but not run the laptop at the same time.
How long did your Sony VAIO battery been used? Li-ion battery's life is about 2 years.
And you can do a battery capacity correction by your VAIO's Battery management software and to see that if the problem get better.
else you need a new Sony VAIO battery.
The first thing that you need to do is isolate if it is the battery causing it, the charger or the computer itself. Remove external devices connected to the laptop. Try to remove the batteries first and then plug in the charger and see if this will turn on the machine. If it doesnt work, use a different socket and verify if you see any lights on the charger brick. Normally there is one. If it doesnt work, you need to contact the manufacturer. They will usually replacee the charger first before the motherboard or the batteries.
The battery might be damage for the time of use or maybe you put in a inadecuate space, the computer works perfectly without the battery but if it doesnt occure and the computer dont works with out the battery and the charger dont supply the energy of the pc maybe you can try with a new battery and a new charger if it doesnt solve the problem your internal hardware is damage or your software is corrupted or damage too.
1. It's your charger that's the problem. Chargers can fail in one portion of their structure that charges the battery but the part that powers the laptop directly can continue to function normally.
2. Your DC Power Jack (the small hole where the charger plugs into the board) can be having the same trouble I described in the charger
When people bring a laptop to my shop with these systems I always try a charger first, the easiest and least expensive fix. If that doesn't work, I have to send the laptop out to one of several vendors on eBay that specialize in that repair alone. You just go to eBay and type "DC Power Jack Repair" in the search box and you'll have quite a few reapir shops to choose from. I've had 100% success with several different ones.
spilling the wine could have caused a surge to your battery or charger either one could be damaged but if your battery is reading full and powers off at random then it is probably your battery and needs to be replaced
either your charger/power "brick " has died or the connection on the laptop form the power has broken.. .
best to try going to radio shack, to get a replacement power source,, ask them if you can try it out. ..first to be shure its not you laptop thats dead. .
dont spend more than 50$ on a power supply, , unless its one ofthose multipurpose all in one for multiple item power supplies. ..
there are a lot of cuase on auto shut off the laptops..
posseble if..
1. if the battery not inserted on laptop... it means you using the charger when you disconnect or loss the connection, auto shut off.
2.if the battery inserted and full of charge.. then make auto shuto off.. this problem,, sometime overheating,, A. fun not working properly..B. shortage of cheps.
try to check the charger and battery,,, use another charger to test observe atlest 30minuts.. the problem the sam auto shut off.. check the cpu fan.. or processor
