Hi there. It looks like water is present in the flood catching tray at the bottom which usually indicates that there is a leak somewhere. More often than not this is just a pipe with a poor fitting and simply tightening the clip is enough to stop the leak. Our machine had a very slow leak from one pipe (not enough to trigger the alarm) which was fixed in this way. The leak is detected by a small float switch located in the flood catch tray.

Undo 4 screws on the metal plate under the dishwasher 3 at the front 1 at the back, this reveals The pump check the seals are in place on the waste pump.

I have an Electrolux EWD1477. I have been away for four months and I'm having problems with it. I set to do the quickwash30 program and press start, you hear the clicks, it might put some water in then...

My EWD1477 was doing this a year ago and I fixed it. Then it started doing it again a month ago and I seem to have cleared it again.

Firstly, remove the drain hose from where it is inserted into a laundry sink hole to make sure it is not blocked or sealed in with sludge.

Secondly, make sure the machine is empty of water and clothes and then turn the machine to off with the Program Selector Dial. Then turn off the power at the socket and remove the power plug and leave for five minutes.

Step 1: put the plug back in and turn the power back on.

Step 2: turn the selector switch to the right (Whites/Intensive). The green light of the Start/Pause button should be flashing and the green lights on for Prewash/wash, Rinses and Spinning. Don't press any other buttons or change any other settings.

Step 3: press the Start/Pause button and wait for the machine to empty any excess water. Press it again immediately after you hear water flowing into the machine OR two audible clicks. The machine is now in pause mode with the green light of the Start/Pause button flashing. Only the green light on the Prewash/Wash button should be on. Leave it in pause mode for 30 minutes and then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Step 4: If the Start/Pause button begins flashing, water stops flowing into the machine and the three green lights mentioned above are back on, turn the Program Selector Dial back to off, wait 10 seconds, and repeat the process above.

Step 5: If when you then turn the Program Selector Dial to Whites/Intensive and hear the two audible clicks, immediately press the Start/Pause button to set the machine in pause mode. Wait 30 minutes. Then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Hopefully the cycle will run without a problem.

So sorry but the partsdirect site for sears locked down my computer. Check where the drain hose connects to your pump and see if there is a small device the hose connects to that has 2 wires going to it. If it does unplug the wires, turn power off, wait 1 minute and turn power back on and see if it works with this disconnected. If it does you will need to replace this. It is like a sensor that says there is too much debris. Stupid part that was totally unnecessary in the first place. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Machine fills and drains at the same time.

Check the height of the drain hose and make sure the drain hose is higher than 30 inches from the ground. If your drain hose drains into the floor you may need to purchase a siphon break to stop the problem
