I bought a new tortoise shell plastic Michael Kors watch. I had links taken out and it was way too tight. Then I had 1 link put back in and now it's way too loose. The links are about 1/2 thick and there isn't a solution by adding or subtracting the links. I'm in need of some gizmo or gadget that could go behind the watch face to make that space smaller around my wrist or some type of sincher. I am SO upset I've been eyeing this watch for over a month and finally bought it today and now I'm going to have to take it back if I can't find a solution other than adjusting the watch band. HELP!!!
Have you thought of changing the band to a leather one?
This would allow you to make holes in the best place to give the correct length for you.
Alternatively you might be able to get an expanding metal type which would solve the problem. This type can also be adjusted for length.

Since I answered your question I have bought another watch and had a similar problem. However I noticed that the clip has a number of small holes where it joins the strap.
The pin that joins the strap to the clip is spring loaded (like the ones that join the strap to the watch), so I used a fine pointed probe (a screw actually!) and pushed the pin in while exerting a small force in the direction I wanted to pin to go. I then did the same on the other side and achieved the adjustment I needed.
If you still have the watch, and it has similar small holes for fine length adjustment, then you should be able to get the fitting you want.
