It just started not responding to commands. Only tv will come on.

Remove the battery from the remote.Wait at least 30 minutes. ZReinstall the battery and start over. You will need to reprogram the remote.

Green light blinks means your command is reaching the the microprocessor of your TV. Still the TV is not starting means either the micro processor is no sending 'Power On' command to the power supply section or the power supply section is not 'responding' to it. There is nothing you can do about it yourself. Please consult some local TV technician.

I'm sure you've tried this, remote batteries is most common cause.
Make sure sensors on TV and remote are unobstructed(remote only works if line of sight to sensor is clear) and clean. Windex and Qtip. Damaged/dirty/defective remote, try different if possible (universal). If none of above works(99% chance), extreme longshot is TV circuitry.

ok ,try cleaning the remote, first.open it up and clean it with alcohol and soft cloth.let it dry.then,assemble it.be sure your batteries are ok.

These are the device codes that can be used for the NEC TV
0036, 0038, 0057, 0063, 0197, 0244, 0347, 0401
To let the remote automatically pick up the device code follow the follwing procedure
Step Procedure Result
1 Turn on the TV manually or use the original remote control. Tune in to channel 1.
2 Look up the brand of your TV in the code list One or more four-figure codes are shown for each brand. Note the first code.
3 Keep the TV key pressed for 5 seconds Indicator blinks twice and then remains lit.
4 Enter the code noted in step 2, using the digil keys. The TV key will now blink twice. If the key blinks once for an extended period, the code has not been entered properly or the wrong code has been entered. Start again from step 2.
5 Point the remote at the TV and check that it responds as it should. If the TV responds to all of the key commands, the remote is ready for use. Do not forget to note your code.

If the device does not respond at all, or not to all of the key commands, start again from step 2 and try the next code from the list.
