I'll repeat the solution for everyone's info:
When "Out of Range" error message appears, it means the time and date aren't set correctly! You have to set the correct time and date for the device to function.
To do this:

1. Press Menu until “Machine Setup” appears.
2. Press the scroll buttons to display “Date & Time”, then press Enter.
3. Enter the correct date and time using the number keys (date format: month, day and a 4-digits-year).
4. Select “AM” or “PM” for 12-hour format, using the # or * keys.
5. Press Enter when done.
