2D Graphics often do not display in a 3D game

I have a Toshiba laptop running Windows Tablet version. I have notice that in a few games, particularly older ones (Age of Mythology, Microsoft's Freelancer), in which there is a 3d game with 2d interface, the interface and a lot of key information required to play is unable to display over the 3d. Only sometimes will it actually pop up and then it goes away. I know the computer is capable of displaying the 2d components because they flicker, but the 3d always draws over the top (I think). Is this a graphics card problem or software related, drivers, directx, etc? Thanks for any response

Sounds like something's not making contact properly. I don't think you're going to have much success getting that key to work, at least on a permanent basis.

If your computer is under warranty, this merits a replacement keyboard. If it's not under warranty, replacement keyboards can be found online from parts providers or on eBay. Just make sure to get the right one for your model. You can usually install them yourself quite easily (typically three or four screws, five minutes or less). If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, it's a very basic repair and if a service provider sounds like he wants to charge you too much, he probably is. Keyboards run in the $30-70 range depending on your model, and I wouldn't pay too much more than $30 to have it installed. Forget places like the Geek Squad; a local shop can probably do it cheaper. I'd say altogether you're looking at $50-100 installed.

And as for your other question... I work servicing computers, and Toshiba machines are by far the worst products I've encountered. I don't recommend them to anyone. I haven't had much luck with other Toshiba electronics, but then again I haven't used them extensively either.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Toshiba Portege Video problem

I opened up the laptop to look for any damage to the motherboard and see whether the video part could be replaced. No luck. Ended up replacing the laptop through ebay, not too expensive these days.

My Samsung Galaxy tab English keeps closing my game aps while I'm playing them. How can I fix it?

Hello

Usually, depending your firmware, Jelly bean, Marhsmallow etc, they work diferent, and of course, your kind of tablet all together play a good role in those particular problems.
1) clean cache for app when upgrade.*
2) try uninstalling the game, and reinstalling a new version.
3) close any other app that is running and not need it.

How do I open downloaded files?

I'm not sure what tablet and operating system you have but .exe files are typically Windows-based applications. Those won't run on a Android or Apple tablet, for example.

For viewing PDFs you need PDF viewing software. Again, depending on the tablet version you have you may need to install the appropriate version reader. PDF is an Adobe product and available from them for free. Adobe Reader Download Free PDF viewer for Windows Mac OS Android

Why won't words with friends work on my kobo android tabl et but does work on my moto G android phone?

The version of the Android operating system installed on your kobo tablet is likely incompatible with the game, not the tablet itself, whereas the version of the Android operating system installed on the Moto G is compatible with the game. Put it another way: it is as if you are trying to install an application designed for Windows 7 on a computer running Windows XP.

Problem to play candy crush on tablet toshiba AT100

This has nothing to do with the game, but with the tablet. This a very resource intensive game, and if your tablet does not have a fast enough processor or ram, it will keep freezing.

Kindle just turns off lately when gets warm. Happened twice today while playing games.

Is it any particular game that causes this? If so unintall it.
Turn the screen brightness down to reduce the amount of heat produced. However this is a workaround that doesn't fix the fault.
Also try running the games just after starting the tablet before you open up anything else, so its the first thing you run.

My laptop "toshiba tablet portage

If your computer is still under warranty you can contact the Toshiba support site and order recovery media. They will refer you to the company that sells them. The cost is about 45 dollars + taxes.
Even if your computer is no longer under warranty you may still be able to obtain the recovery medias.

Failing that, you may consider buying a retail version of the Windows Operating system and install it on the computer. Some custom buttons may not work, and you will have to go to the Toshiba support web site to download the drivers for your computer. Before buying a version of Windows, check the Toshiba site for your computer and your intented OS (WinXP 32/64, Vista 32/64, or Win 7 32/64) )to see if they have drivers.
