Oven door will not unlock after "clean" mode is complete

I just ran the "clean" mode on our Jenn air range/oven. It ended over 2 hours ago and the oven is cool but the door did not unlock and the oven light is on. Is there a way to manually unlock the door?
There is no model number on the unit. All I know is that the house was built in 1999 and it was new then. It is a gas stove with electric oven

SOURCE: jenn air s136 stove won,t self clean

You've probably already read pages 34 through 37 of the owners manual for this oven. We had this stove in the house we bought and the owner wrote in his own directions, which seem to work fine:

1. Turn knob selector to clean.
2. Turn temp knob to clean.
3. Close and lock door.
4. Push enter button and turn dial clockwise to desired time.
5. Push enter button again.

You've probably already tried this, but just in case I figured I'd pass it along.

SOURCE: How can a Jenn-Air down draft stove be vented out the roof ?

Yes , its much more labor intense but it can be done by venting it up through the wall then through the attic over to the side vents. Make sure to get flexable duct to pull up through the wall.

SOURCE: Jenn Air oven door won't open after clean cycle

Had this EXACT same problem the day before a party where I needed the oven for lots of baking.... Tried all sorts of things, was about to call a repair man- I FINALLY got it to open by following the first two directions for putting it into self clean mode (turned both knobs to CLEAN), then when it said to lock door I tried to move the lock lever and bam it worked! Give it a shot! Good luck! (:

Old Jenn air oven. Ran self clean over 30 hours ago. Door wiil not unlock. Have tried opening with knobs on clean. Have resat breakers. Have restarted cleaning cycly. Will not unlock.

It sounds like the temperature sensor has failed in the locked position. I am not familiar with Jenn Air Ovens, but my best guess is you have to remove the back cover to access the sensor and replace it and then reset the oven. This could be a very time consuming and difficult process. If you are not typically a DIYer, I would suggest having someone else look at it and determine if it is repairable and is it worth the expense involved.

Self cleaning ovens

Perhaps it hasn't cooled down enough; or you may have to run the self-cleaning cycle again. The oven has to reach a certain temperature before it starts to turn the residue to ash.You may have interrupted its cycle.

It then has to cool off sufficiently to safely open the door.

I need direction on how to start the clean cycle on my jenn air

CLEAN PAD
Use to set a self-clean cycle or a delayed
self-clean cycle. One press of the Clean
pad sets up an immediate clean cycle. A
second press of the Clean pad sets up a
delayed clean cycle.
• Clean oven
frame, door
frame (area
outside of gasket)
and
around the
opening in the door gasket with a nonabrasive
cleaner such as Bon Ami*. These
areas are not exposed to cleaning temperatures.
• Remove air grille.
• Remove oven racks. If racks are left in
during a clean cycle, it may impair function
and they will discolor. Turn off the
oven light and close door.
* Brand names for cleaning products are
registered trademarks of the respective
manufacturers.
TO SET FOR IMMEDIATE START:
1. Press Clean pad once.
2. Press the Auto Set pad for 3 hours of
cleaning time, press again for 4 hours
and again if 2 hours of clean time are
desired.
3. CLEANING and LOC plus the clean
time will appear in the display.
4. When the clean cycle is complete,
CLEANED will be displayed. LOC will
remain on until the oven has cooled
(approx. 1 hour).
5. When the oven is cool, LOC will no
longer be displayed and the door may be
opened.
6. Wipe out the oven interior with a damp
cloth. If soil remains it indicates the
cycle was not long enough.

TO CANCEL SELF-CLEAN:
1. Press Cancel pad.
2. If LOC is NOT displayed, open oven
door. If LOC is displayed, allow oven to
cool.

Jenn-Air stove locked

After the lock indicator light goes out, move the door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off.
