My brand new Technics 1200 MK2 sounds wobbly when I play it, and the lights dim in and out...as if the power wasn't flowing evenly. This is the 2nd one I bought. The same issue happened with the 1st one, so I took it back because I thought it was defective, and purchased a new one from another store. Same issue.

It sounds like you were the unfortunate recipient of two bad turntables that must have come from the same defective manufacturer's run. The symptoms you describe are usually caused by issues with both the power supply circuit and the pitch control circuit. The only other thing that is possible is the power supply you are using is not giving you clean power. If you haven't already done so try and plug the turntable into a different power receptacle and see if it makes a difference. Otherwise the only recourse you have is to return the unit and try another one.

Hi, please don't tamper with it so as to not loss your warranty on the product. I sounds to me as a factory fault problem. My advice to you is to take it back to the store you got it from and request for another one but make sure you test it in the store before you take it home and if you are not satisfied, you request back for your money..
