White screen of death - I have a 16gb 4th generation iPod nano, and after accidently going through the washing machine, I left it to dry in a towel on the radiator for a week, however after turning it on I got the white screen of death.
I have tried resetting it and restoring it via iTunes.
Any help?

Try putting the ipod in disk mode by pressing the center and play buttons after resetting it (by holding down the center and menu buttons). You will know it is in disk mode when it shows a check mark on the ipod screen. Then plug it into your vcomputer and format it using windows.
After you format the ipod, try disconnecting and reconnecting to the computer and restore and see if that fixes your problem.

Hi,
Bad news. Your screen is bad and needs replaced. Good news there are a number of companies that will fix that beside Apple. Bad news. It will cost about $60 unless you can do it yourself. Hope that helps.

That means that the inverter board for the LCD has gone out or there is a bad connection internally and it is not getting the signal to display the info. Your best bet is to see how much Apple wants to fix it. If it is too much I would say time for a new one. Fry's Electronics is selling the new 8GB Nano for somewhere between 139 and 159. That is their regular price.

Hi,
Is your ipod nano fully charged? and your installed iTunes the latest version?
Please make sure it is charged, and the new iTunes is downloaded and installed from here please do the following steps:
Connect ipod nano to PC. Make sure iTunes is already open prior to connecting it.
If this is the first time you are connecting then your PC will automatically install Apple Mobile Device Driver.
Once installation of the driver is complete, you should see the ipod nano logo appear within iTunes very soon. and start using it.

Forgot to add, it DOES come up when I connect it to the computer, I can sync stuff, and can still play music on it.
