Zoom x6 model 5590 wireless router

I recently bought a Zoom X6 model 5590 wireless router to use with my Talktalk broadband, but can't get an internet connection. Talktalk gave me their settings to configure the modem, but when I attempt to enter the DNS server address it says it's invalid. Can anyone tell me how to get this router to work with Talktalk (I'm using Windows Vista).

    I have the same problem. Talk Talk gave me their settings, including a primary and secondary DNS address, but on the zoom x6 set-up page, there is only room to enter DNS server addresses. I tried entering the primary and secondary DNS addresses talktalk had given me to no avail. Their tech support is apparently closed this weekend.

DNS has nothing to do with DHCP kakee.

I have a Zoom X6, add each IP separately and it should be ok.

yes there is one way if you dont have a house phone. if you have a cellphone turn it on and put it on top of your machine.

I have a Zoom X6 ADSL modem that keeps dropping my internet signal. How can I correct this?
is it wireless connection or ethernet? Zoom routers have a firewall and when you have something connected that the firewall doesnt like (Xbox 360 or Gaming) it will drop the connection. goto zoom.com/x6 and it will give you instruction on how to by-pass the firewall using an different IP address.

ADSL Zoom x6 5590 DNS 360 Problem
Yes the router assigns an internal IP address. connect it up then using your PC go into the configuration of your router (http://10.0.0.2) and look under system status, scroll to the bottom and under DCHP status you will see a list of all clients connected. Your Xbox will be listed along with its internal IP address.

Wireless connection is slower than wired!
Yes there is a difference although most router manufacturers claim that you can get 4 or even 6x times faster than 54Mbps of a regular 802.11g wireless standard, wired connection(10/100/1000Mbps) are still faster because they are less subjected to interference unlike wireless that are vulnerable to interference like cordless phones, microwave devices, lighting fixtures, distance and the obstruction between your wireless router and the computer.

USB Modem V ADSL Router/Modem
Unplug the plug (from phoneline) on back of USB modem, plug into Zoom router. Plug one end of an ethernet cable into router and one end into your PC. Type http://10.0.0.2 into a web browser (eg. Firefox or Internet explorer) username/password is admin/zoomadsl go to basic setup and input your ISP username and password (the one given to you by your internet provider) under PPP. Click configure my connection. Save changes and then write to flash (both buttons on bottom of page)

Zoom X6 installation
you need a ethernet network card, if you want it connected to the x6 directly, or you can get a wireless card for the desktop.
the instruction for setup the x6 is straight forward. but you need to follow it to the letter, otherwise it won't work.
