Where is the element on a Hotpoint Aquarius dwf30 dishwasher?

Check and see if during the heating cycle there is voltage to the element. If not, you will need to replace the control board/module. from serial number 41011 part no is c00143209, to serial no 41011 part no is c00143207

Do you hear the motor run or is there deadly silence when you select drain.
Does the wash cycle start - do you hear water getting in and washer arms move?
Are there any lights flashing?

sounds like the heater for sure. engineer job.

Yes take right hand side panel off, change heater from there.

you can plumb into hot but there are some snags
first hot water pressure is often a lot lower than cold so the machine may take a long time to fill
second if the water is too hot it will destroy the resin of the water softener and you will see brown marks on the crockery.
third it a bit uneconomical as you will use a lot of hot water

your leak might be caused by a faulty door gasket.as far as your other problem try turning off the power at breaker for 30 sec. to reset cpu
