There are dozens of different spool pins, if you want the right one, bring the machine to any sewing machine repair shop, spool pins cost 1-2 dollars.

Sometimes the spool pin is in with the accessories and not on the machine.

Spool pin for shark euro pro x 30 function model 412 sewing machine

Finding specific replacement parts for older sewing machines like the Shark Euro-Pro X 30 Function Model 412 can be a bit challenging due to their age. However, here are some steps you can take to try to find a spool pin for your sewing machine:
1. **Contact the Manufacturer or Authorized Dealers:** Start by contacting the manufacturer, Shark Euro-Pro, or their official customer support. They might be able to direct you to authorized dealers or repair centers that carry replacement parts for your model.
2. **Online Auction and Marketplace Websites:** Websites like eBay, Etsy, and Amazon may have listings for vintage sewing machine parts. Search for "Shark Euro-Pro X 30 Function Model 412 spool pin" or something similar.
3. **Sewing Machine Repair Shops:** Local sewing machine repair shops or vintage sewing machine specialists might have spare parts for older models. Reach out to them to see if they can help you locate a replacement spool pin.
4. **Online Sewing Machine Parts Retailers:** Some online stores specialize in sewing machine parts and accessories. While they might not have the exact part listed, you can contact them to inquire about availability.
5. **Sewing Machine Forums and Groups:** Online sewing machine forums and Facebook groups dedicated to sewing machine enthusiasts can be a great resource. Members might be able to offer advice on where to find the specific part you need.
6. **DIY Solutions:** If you're unable to find an exact replacement spool pin, you might consider improvising a solution using a different type of spool holder or pin. Just ensure that whatever solution you come up with is stable and safe for use with your sewing machine.
When looking for replacement parts for older sewing machines, patience and persistence are key. It might take some time to track down the specific part you need, but with a combination of online searching, contacting sewing machine experts, and exploring various options, you might be able to find a suitable solution for your Shark Euro-Pro X 30 Function Model 412 sewing machine.

The upper part of the right spool pin broke off. I ordered a new pin but am unable to remove the old one to replace it. How do you remove the spool pin?

Depends on your machine brand and model. Some pins simply unscrew and others pull out. Probably best to look at the replacement pin you purchased.

I don't see my model of sewing machine in the list of machines, it's Model 412N, for which I need a spool pin. Do you have one?

Your model number suggests that your machine is a Shark Euro Pro. If this is correct, you can contact customer service for Euro Pro products at this web address: http://www.sharkclean.com/support/
There is also a phone number in the instructions and a Live Chat feature during the week. This customer service contact may need to transfer you to a specific department for your needed part.

If you are not successful in getting the part direct from Euro Pro, you can also check with SewingPartsOnline.com and most local sewing machine stores. There are often generic parts that fit many different models and brands.

I have a brother xl5012 and would like to change the spool pin..not sure if its broken? the one on top is silver and the spare is plastic..not sure what to do..the manual has no answers.. thank you

On most machines, the spool pin simply screws into a threaded hole. If it was welded on or attached in some other permanent way, changing it may need a service visit. Brother has one of the very best service departments of any company I know. But try to unscrew the old one.. it might be stuck, a drop of penetrating oil, or maybe some pliers, might assist. If it comes out, a new one should screw in easily enough, so long as it matches the size of the hole and the threading.

Problem with spool pin

Doreen:

There are screws holding the top housing onto the machine. (The top housing is where the spool pin slid into). remove the screws on the top housing and pull the top housing up off of the machine. You will be able to reposition the spool pin to where it supposed to be. put the top housing back on and reinstall the screws.

Bobbon thread is too losse /thread breaks no

Clean out the bobbin area.

Thread the machine with the presser foot up. This opens the tension so the thread can enter. Threading with the foot down closes the tension and the thread cannot enter as it should. When you sew, the top thread is loose and cannot properly connect with the bobbin thread to form a tight stitch. The stitching does not hold and pulls right out.

Thread breakage - top thread? Check the thread spool to be sure there aren't any nicks to catch the thread.

When the thread breaks, check the spool pin to see if the thread is unwinding too fast and wrapping around the pin. Thread nets can help stop this. You can find them at sewing machine dealers.

Upper thread breaks ''inside''. Then thread pulls tightly. Must be re-threaded to sew.

Check the spool to make sure there isn't a nick in the cap where the thread can catch. If there is it can be smoothed with an emery board, or just turn the spool so the the thread feeds from the opposite end of the spool.

If the thread is unwinding too fast and pooling around the spool pin, you can use a thread net to help stop this.

Thread nets come in a long tube and you cut them to size. They can be found with machine embroidery supplies or at a dealer.

Lost Spool pin and cap for QuikStitch SP-402

Welcome to FixYa. If you have a spool stand, that might work as long as you can thread the machine properly (give it a try!). When the thread is placed on the machine's spool pin, the spool cap keeps the thread in place and helps the thread unwind evenly - so if you are using a spool pin, you really do need a spool cap.

If the spool stand works, you are good to go. If you need to order replacement parts, I've provided a link the manufacturer's website. From there, you can contact customer support and find out if parts are available. If you can't order replacement parts, ask customer service if the machine is compatible with another brand. Another option would be to buy a spool pin and cap at a sewing machine dealer. Take the machine with you and and make sure the parts fit before you buy them.

Here's the link to the site I mentioned:
