My Sharp Atomic Clock doesn't seem to want to change for Daylight Savings. My other Atomic Clock changes just fine so I know I'm getting a signal. Any Idea how I can do this manually? I can't seem to find it by going through all the buttons on the back.

I have misplaced the manual for my sharp Atomic clock, need to reset the time zone and shut off the alarm. How can I obtain a new manual?
I have the Sharp digital atomic clock, model SPC373. I bought it at a thrift store for a few bucks and don't have the manual. This morning (11/1/2009) it was still reading DST and hadn't set itself back an hour, so I pushed the "receive" button on the back. The little satellite dish icon did its animation thing (like it's receiving a signal) and after a couple of minutes, it reset itself to the correct time. In my opinion, DST is ridiculous and causes more trouble than it's worth! Half the world doesn't even bother with DST! Now that we have this "atomic clock" technology, maybe the worldwide department of standards can come up with a clock that just drops or adds a couple of minutes throughout the year to achieve the same effect as DST without drastically disrupting our circadian rhythm twice a year! (Similar to what they did in ancient times.) Or maybe we can just live with the fact that the sunrise and sunset, shifts throughout the year and not make such a big deal over it! The "developed world" only just started doing this DST thing in the beginning of the 20th century, it's really a new invention by historical standards. I put fresh battery in and the clock set itself to 12:00, I didn't touch anything, and it stayed in that mode until it set itself by radio signal during the night.
The following morning the clock appeared to be set for Pacific Time, I pushed the "E T" button on the back, and the clock set itself to eastern daylight savings time by itself.

1) Pull the batteries and wait a few minutes.
2) Put batteries back in - time will set to 8:00 (or possibly something different).
3) Press the "leverage button" (just above an to the left of the time zone buttons) and the clock hands will spin.
4) Release the leverage button when the correct time is reached.
5) Supposedly, this new time will track correctly and keep accurate time.
I asked what would happen next fall, and they said if if didn't track correct, steps 1 and 2 above should be sufficient.
Hope this helps - not the greatest time piece to be sure.

We just experienced the same thing: clock apparently not aware of recent changes to daylight savings schedule, instruction manual gone missing. As with any modern electronic gizmo, the first step is to try removing and reinstalling the batteries (a "cold boot", in computerese). No luck this time. So I tried again, this time pressing the little MT button on the back for mountain time, instead of PT for pacific time. Now the clock has advanced an hour. Its a work-around, and if the clock later decides to make the daylight time adjustment, we will have to revert to pacific time. If you are in the eastern time zone, I can't help ya.

Clock resets on the old DST dates fall and spring. How do I get it to reset on the new dates?

Sharp atomic clock won't reset to daylight savings, took out battery and now it isn't running at all!
The Sharp Atomic clock resets only using the old time savings schedule. You'll see that in two or three weeks it will change time. The only way to fix this is by updating whatever "programming" the clock has inside. The clock is probably too cheap for Sharp to bother making any change available.
Exactly the same as the previous one. My Sharp WWVB seems to have no way to turn daylight savings time on or off. On the back there are 4 time zone buttons, a smaller button with no markings and a 'reset' button.
I have a somewhat large clock, and it also has the 3 buttons for time zones in the back. I had no idea what the leverage button was until someone described it to me. Seems if you depress it slightly, the second hand moves, and if firmer (all the way in) the minute hand spins. Had I know this life would have been a lot easier. but my wife bought the clock and no one knew where the directions were. thanks so much to the original person who answered how to get this things working again.

I have read the posts. We're past ALL day light saving's times dates. I tried the reset button. Our clock went to 12:00 for a few minutes and then started running at the update signal and went to standard time again. Clearly, the satellite hasn't been updated. So, what are we to do? The last time that time changed, we only had to wait for the original time change, and our clock corrected itself as someone else said it would, but this time, we have no such luck. Any suggestions?
