Thank you to everyone for your suggestions and assistance. I found out what the problem was. I live in a trailer and the material of the trailer was blocking the signal. I solved it with an outside antenna. Thank you again.

173 worked for mine. I just entered everything starting at 001 and when I got to 173 it finally worked. I have a Symphonic WF719.

Trouble conecting soundbar to Element HD LCD TV ELDFT404

Your TV's Component 1 and 2 (and the Composite 1 and 2) RCA ports are video and audio inputs. They do not connect to the sound bar audio input. Based on the image here, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/509607/Element-Eldft404.html?page=8#manual , your TV has a coaxial digital Audio Out.

You need a converter to connect the TV to the sound bar. A coaxial to optical digital audio converter is here: https://www.amazon.com/C2G-40018-Coaxial-Converter-Compliant/dp/B0002J2MV4 . There are also many digital audio to analog converters available, https://www.amazon.com/DA-Converters/b?ie=UTF8&node=3224445011 . Some of these support both coaxial and optical digital audio to analog. Note: many of these do not come with the audio cables. You have to purchase them separately.

I hope this helps.

Im having trouble hooking up my sound bar to my monitor E196FPf

As far as I know, the E196FPf monitor does not have speakers or an audio out. Thus you'll need to connect the sound bar to the audio out of your computer or other source. On a laptop, this will be the headphone jack. On desktops, you use the lime-green 3.5 mm jack on the back of the system.

Depending on the sound bar, you might need a Aux (3.5 mm M to 3.5 mm M) cable, a 3.5 mm M to dual RCA (red/white) adapter cable or an analog to digital audio converter with the 3.5mm to RCA cable and appropriate digital audio cable.

Please add a comment with the model of the sound bar and the audio/video source, if you want more information on the best solution for your application.

I hope this helps.

When I hooked the DTA800 to my RV atenna

My understanding is that the Digital signal is weaker than the analog, so need a stronger antenna to pick up the digital signal, and MAY still not get any reception at all. Have you considered satellite for you RV? Won't need the converter at all then.

The instructions for our DTA800 digital to analog converter box for over the air waves for TV signals say since the signal is too weak that we need a SMART ANTENNA. What is that and what do you...

Hey boykinpierce,

The phrase "Smart Antenna" is often used to describe a multi-directional antenna or antenna array. These types of antennas are able to detect and automatically adjust to any changes in the TV signal strength you receive, and can generally be obtained through most major retailers. They primarily are used in areas where digital signals are weaker or somewhat inconsistent, and will attempt to optimize the signals they do receive before sending them to a TV or digital converter box.

Please keep in mind that while some DTV digital-to-analog converter boxes may have built-in Smart Antennas, this particular model (RCA DTA800) does not appear to have this feature.

If you're still not quite sure what to look for, please remember that you can always speak with a home theatre sales agent at your local Best Buy™ store for more information.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Denon AVR-2105

If the Cd is wired digitally, it will only play through the main zone, because the Denon cannot convert down to RCA to cater for the zone 2. If you plug RCAs from Cd to Denon, Main zone will STILL play from digital, and RCA connection will allow zone 2 to play Cd from RCA input....same with dvd, Satellite Blah blah... no stress, any nasty RCA will do if you want to try before you splash out on really costly cables...perhaps you can help me...want to run AVR 2105 with 2 speakers in zone 2, manual says cant do it - only ably to surround back or biamp...dont want either, dont have stereo yet to try it out...did you have any trouble with that?
