I just aquired a PLES389ECH glass top range. The range has never been used and kept in poor storage. The glass top is cracked and the door is off track on one side. Can the top be replaced and is there an owners manual available for this oven?

How do you change a dual element control on a frigidaire Mod#PLES389ECH. I do not know how to take off the cover under the knob. My oven knobs is on the front of the oven not the back as indicated in...

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are trying to change the dual element control on your Frigidaire range, model# PLES389ECH. Typically, this is not a do it yourself job, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They have been trained on your particular appliance and should be able to change the dual element control with ease. Hope this is helpful.

BROKEN RANGE GLASS ASSEMBLT REPLACEMENT

Third time today. Remove all burners ,everything you can remove from the glass top, then use two small screwdrivers as tyre levers go around the edge and the glass top will lift off.

OUR HOME WE BOUGHT CAME WITH A RANGE, BUT NO MANUAL, WHERE CAN I GET A COPY OF THE MANUAL FOR THIS RANGE?

You will need to find the model number to get a manual. http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ provides a search box for looking up the manuals. For GE ranges, the model number could be in several places: on the frame behind the warming or storage drawer or kickplate, on the left leg behind the warming or storage drawer or kickplate, on the frame of the oven behind the door, under the left front surface burner, or under the lift-up cook-top at the center or on the right hand side.

If you clean the oven with non-abrasive products and avoid the spray on oven cleaners, you are unlikely to damage the surfaces/range even without the manual for your range. (Use glass cleaners for glass cook-top.) Warm water mixed with a mild detergent is useful for most spills. Avoid cleaning the seal around the oven door; damaging the seal may cause major problems.

I hope this helps.

Oven won't ignite

Your range is a Direct spark model.ce00970.jpg8278a1e.pngIf you want a Direct spark manual, let me know. The module gets confirmation from relay on the oven control and sends dc power to the gas valve. I suspect that gas valve be cause the top burners work which is usually and indicator that the module is fine. The terminals ohms should be 216 ohms between each of the 3. If any are open the valve won't work.

Kenmore glass top range left front large burner out

check the burner socket, it is likely that contact is being lost where the burner connects to the hardwired portion of the system (the socket). It is not unusual for the socket to "burn up" when there is a poor connection to the burner resulting in the burner being replaced and the new burner not working or working intermittently.
