The status light flashing usually indicates the lamp cover door or the side air vent door are open or the switchs are not working.

All I get is a blue welcome screen on my Mitsu WD-65C9 DLP TV. After several seconds of blue screen, it always just shuts down. I downloaded the Mitsubishi software upgrade, but it did NOT solve...

Hi Mike,

May I know if the LED light at the front panel has a pattern of flashes or flashing continuously in green color.

Please check if you can access the "Self diagnostic screen" by following the steps below.
- To activate, press the front panel "Activity" and "Channel down" buttons at the same time and hold for 5 secs. The Status led will then flash a two digit code. Example, if the error code is "23" the led light flashes 2 times(blink, blink) pause and then flash 3 times(blink, blink, blink). Let me know the error code, it will help to diagnose where the fault came from.
Note : the TV must be in shutdown not switched off, or AC power cord is removed because the code will reset to "12" means no error. Use the front panel buttons not on the remote control. If you can't access the self diagnostic, press and hold the "Activity" button on the front panel for 5 secs before entering the "self diagnostic" code.

Kind Regards,

Status light just flashes red and will not turn on

Firstly, unplug your tv for at least 4 hours. Over night is better. This is what we call a Hard or Master Reset.
This should solve your problem. If by chance it doesn't, then more than likely your power supply board is shot.
Very common in the newer tv's

Flashing status light

Wow I may have just fixed the flashy yellow status light problem. It's so siple yet so difficult. Looking at the front of your T.V. on the left hand side bottm there is a door for a filter. SMACK IT. if the door isn't shut all the way that status light will flash. Mine is turning on now, just have to work on the major problem now :) Hope you have the same simple problem.

Timer light will not go off and I cannot turn on TV

ybhughes,
Are you asking about the wd62525? If so that's a v26 chassis and equipped with a self diagnostic test by flashing a series of two digit sequence after depressing the power button. After depressing the power button count the number of flashes - then you'll see a slight pause - then another series of flashes. (for example: four flashes, pause and four more flashes is an error code 44). The unit repeats this coding at least three times so be as accurate as possible...

TV won't turn on, no status lights, nothing.

urn on you tv after it goes off
go to front press menu and device at same time
it will recycle and the green will start flashing
count the cycles a three flash pause and than a 7 flash
will mean a bad fan
there is fan in the back that cools a heat sink
it is easy to get to
sometimes the connection goes bad
you can check your fan
dont order one from mit
this is a standard 3 wire 50mm x50mm computer heat sink fan
take yours out and find one to match
cost about 6-8 dollars unless you have laying form old computers
you have to take off the plastic cover in the back no big deal
with cover off yu will see a metal cover looks like a tunnel at the bottom
three screws removes it wires are under
after removal you will see the fan and heat sink
put you filter on the side back on with the two screws
so that the tv will start plug it back in turn power and see if the fan spins
if not check connects no run after that
than replace this fan
mine worked fine with new fan
if need more help you email me at [email protected]
