To do this you must disconnect the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set without any power source for about 3 hours. This should completely drain all the power from the microprocessor. After this is done, reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If they do not return to normal. Unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Replace the internal Battery (CR2430). Let the Clock/Radio again drain all the power from the microprocessor. Insert the new battery and Plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal.If you should still be having problem with the functions of the Clock/Radio, you will need to call Emerson Customer Support. On pages 28-31 you find the procedure for changing the internal lithium battery (CR2430) . This is what you must do to get you Clock/Radio to function correctly again. The internal battery has failed and you have lost all memory functions in the Clock/Radio. If after performing the battery change, you are still having problem with the Clock/Radio.
