I have a CT5803 Dell Sound Card with 4 intermal pinsets, I need to hook Up speaker to speaker out and need information about its use!

16 bit sound cards usually have 3 pin out or jack on the card, one is line in, one is line out and one is for the mic.

the line out is used for your computer speakers, plug in the green colored jack from your speaker into the line out jack and you hear whatever your playing on your computer, ie: music TV or internet broadcasts. You may have to set up the device or software settings that you are using before it properly gets the sound to go through your speakers. Some compatible or Creative Labs emulator cards have five pin outs, these are for a more sophisticated sound system like 5.1 or higher. These jacks have 3 outgoing jacks. One for center speaker then one for front and one for rear. a 6.1 system card may have a side speaker out jack also.

The CT5803 is a Creative card that was made by Creative Labs for Dell, it typically has 3 jacks. one for your speakers to plug into one for your mic to plug into and one for you to plug into an inbound sound source **** as an MP3 player. If this is not what you are talking about please re post your question and possibly clarify the information that you are trying to obtain.

NOT GETTING PROPER SOUND

Dear Sir,

Welcome to Fixya,

Creative Sound blaster cards are plug and play cards, they generally installed on PCI or Expansion slots of your motherboard,so there is no question of cables.First check your speaker and audio properties of your PC.If it is correct check your speaker audio pin make sure that pin is firmly inserted on your sound carder line out.If it is also correct, remove side cover of your pc cabinet, then take out the sound card and reinstall on another PCI slot of motherboard.I think it solves your problem.if it is not may be problem with your Creative sound Blaster audio card. I think it helps. If you have any problem post a feedback we were glad to assist you

My pci graphic card is not working properly, motherboard make beeping sounds but nort reconize mi video card.I alredy make sure it was completely in the slot and other troubleshooting.

Does it have a 6 or 8 pin connection on the top of the card. If those are not plugged in they will beep like crazy. Your powersupply might hvae these connections and if not the videocard should have come with an adapter.

Volume

dear,
can u see a speaker or volume icon at the tray, where the clock exists.
if yes, then click on it and check the pin that goes to cpu for speakers.

if you cant see the icon then check the installation of sound card from:
right click to "my computer" go to properties--->hardware---->device manager---->then check in sound, game controller, if u have the availibility of sound card there,

if u have an extra sound card installed on PCI slot in the motherboard then fix the card properly or reinstall it properly..

regards,
hope it will help so dont forget to rate it .
dont hesitate to ask further
