My samsung dvd player will not read the tv - Samsung DVD-F1080 DVD Player

Plug the HDMI cable that came with the DVD player into an HDMI port on your TV.

If a new DVD player ur tv dose recgonises the DVD disc and not reading the DVD disc,it might be dirty or scratches and cracks on the DVD disc itself.Tries It with other DVD discs,if have the same problems,than it is the DVD player itself,newly bought,yes return it get another one.

The device unit?U must have DVD/VCR recorder player to record things out of cable tv or other tv signals.Not just a DVD/VCR player.Read ur manual for instruction,u hook up a VCR before right,the same principle.

Offhand in all probability and since the Samsung was bought in the US, it uses the NTSC color system. Even if the player is capable of multi regions including PAL/SECAM (Europe/region 2), the TV is not capable of displaying the other color system. Sorry, a multi system TV is also required.

You may want to check in the DVD player's menu for settings that will output the proper signal for your TV.

try to use player on old tv again does it still work 4 yrs old dvd player is to old for new days dvs on new tv u def wann upgrade to 108p upscaling player samsung makes with hdmi cable to new tv flat screen or reg coneection will look 10 times better also older toshibia cant play read new dvds its terrible

1. DVD-RW reads and burn DVDs and CDs with or without a tv connections (computer accessory)
2. DVD-R if its is a dvd player it should be able to read DVD and record dvds with tv connection (this is not a computer accessory but a tv accessory)
3. DVD-ROM can only read and can not write on DVDs
