At the bottom of the remote is a small button that can be pressed by a pin or pen. Press it and the battery will pop out. Replace the battery and you will have a working remote

At the base of the Apple remote is a little catch that can be squeezed by a stick or pen. Press it and the battery will fly out. Supplant the battery and you will have a working remote. Apple TV not responding to remote Dont Worry Keep Reading

I lost the power chord to the remote on my George sound system by Chestnut Hill

unfortunately it seems the George is no longer available. However, the power cord is a USB cord then you should be able to replace it by picking up a multiple USB cord kit (the one that has both the standard and mini sized cords).

My chestnut sound hill remote control recently got wet and no longer works at all. I would like to have it repaired or replace with a new remote. I have not found the remote sold separately yet. If you...

Chestnut Hill has a website with customer support but no direct links for parts.

The customer support e-mail address is:

[email protected]

Chestnut Hill Sound, Inc.
PO Box 68
Newton, MA 02464

I see no toll-free number. Website: www.chillsound.com

P.S.: I revived a totally dead cellphone that went through the washing machine by disassembling it and thoroughly drying it out. It still works as new.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

Sound does not come through speakers just hear the ipod

Did you find a solution to your problem? I have just come across this problem myself.

I have a 16GB 5th Gen iPod, and I am using a compatible (brand new) Hitachi AXM204UK Micro System. The Micro System produces brilliant sound on the CD and USB settings, however when my iPod is docked ( and is responding to charge and the remote control) it doesn't produce sound. Apart from the internal speakers.

If you could help me, that would be brilliant. :)

Apple Remote Control

To my knowledge the Apple Remote does not connect directly to any iPod (this might be different for the iPhone or iPod touch). You need to have the Apple Universal Dock to use the remote control.

Broken volume knob

I located the remote control for the unit and it works fine. As the unit is not the primary amplifier for the home stereo system, I use the remote to control the volume. Thank you for your quick responce, and I will keep you in mind for any future needs.

Ipod

If your iPod nano won’t turn on or respond
1) Make sure the Hold switch is off.

2) If that doesn’t work, connect iPod nano to your computer’s USB or FireWire port. Your
iPod nano battery might need to be recharged.

3) If that doesn’t work, your iPod nano might need to be reset.

a) Toggle the Hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, and then turn it off again).
b)Press and hold the Center and Menu buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

4) If that doesn’t work, you might need to restore iPod nano software.

Thanks for the questions it seems that you might have to do a restore on iTUNES 7.6 which is the newest Version. Also when you do a Restore it sets the Buttons inside the Logic Board back to original, but make sure to back up your music or you will lose everything. Hope this helps.
