Open tray comes up when loading a game?

You must open your tray keep it open as you turn it off and back on, then close it and restart your xbox

turn on xbox open tray, turn off xbox with tray open, turn it on making sure u dont close the tray until it is totally on then close it, then restart your xbox

1, the disc may be dirty
2. the mian reason for this your xbox drive cannot read the disc , because the power of the lens is gone(not completely) ,

solution:

1. keep your disc inside the drive and switch off the console, again swith on try this 2 to 3 time
2. keep the console in vertical position or little slanding position(180 dg) make sure it does not fall

3. its better to buy hatddisc and load the game inside it , so that u lens life increased

4. change the entire drive

ok , if it is giving u the open tay error , every time u try and load it , it could be a number of reasons behind it , i had the same problom , most games will play but i had 1 game that no matter how many new copys of the game i got , when i put it in my xbox the game spun 3 times and then said , open tray , like trhere was no game in the xbox, so i went 2 you tube and typed in open tray error xbox 360 and there r loads of examples on how 2 fix it , if u keep opening and closing the tray each time after it says open tray after about 6 to 7 times , it should play , but i would go 2 you tube , becase u need 2 open your disc drive 2 fix the problom.

yeah, you can keep opening and closing it till it works or you can send it in to get it repaired. i tried every way possible to fix it, but i couldnt. something in the dvd drive has gone out and won't read discs the same anymore.

This has happened to me multiple times, but sooner or later, it will load, just keep at it. Try taking the disk out and closing the tray, then open and put the disk in and close the tray.

you need to unplug ever cable you have and every accessory you have. Unplug adapters memory units hd inter coolers every thing. let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Plug everything back in then press the button to open the tray to turn it on then put in a different game keep it open . Then when the menu comes go into a program so you can't see play game or close tray. Then when you are in the right place close the tray and it should load. This worked for me 2 times.

you re going to need a new disk drive i had the same problem and called 18004myxox and they said its a bad disk drive and would cost 100.00 to fix so i went and bought a new 360 insteadf

MY 360 DOOR OPENS AFTER CLOSING IT,EJECTS GAME AND CAN'T STAY CLOSED MORE THAN 1/2 SECOND

It's probably the sign of the cheap dvd drive going then...

Just gonna have to call on Microsoft to fix it now I think...
