When i try to turn it on, the light that's red flashes blue a few times and then goes back to red. Nothing else happens.Otherwise the tv runs fine. It's happened before a few times and after a little bit it seems to turn on alright...but i don' know if i'm hitting a button to enable it or not...

Question edited for clarity, your television is 'Nordmende', not 'Norfmende'.

Time for a new one, but try the power reset first as mentioned here.

commonly it is the power supply of your lcd try to check the dc output
it is not giving enough power to operate your lcd.

will turn on tv with remote. stays on green for about 1 second and goes back to red.

How many times Red Lamp flashes, its important as it shows problem and its location in tv. Below is detail of lamp blinks and you may know the problem area in tv by counting lamp flashes.

TV STARTS UP AND GOES BLANK SOUND NO PICTURE

Ok. I got my tv back on.
I pulled off the back cover and found the relay that was clicking.
I have two blue relays next to each other that click when the power is pushed.
I placed a hair dryer over the relays for about a minute.
Once heated up, it only took 4 tries to get the TV to stay on.

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
