Monitor does not display windows. It says the monitor is working fine, check the feed to the monitor from the computer. I assume that the graphics card is the problem, as the last couple of times the display has shrunk in size. Now there is no display.

Have you isolate the monitor very much? try to use other monitor. if other monitor shows some display then your old monitor is defective. replace a new one. but if the other monitor does not shows some display the your video card is defective. you have to purchase new video card.

My dell E207WFP monitor only displays auto detect self test and before that was a lock.

Assuming your computer is functioning ok: then either your graphics card is not recognizing the monitor, the cord is not connected properly at both ends, or the monitor is defective and not displaying the signal. I would switch the monitor with another one, or try it on a different computer. If it works properly then you have narrowed it down to the graphics card. Remember, this is assuming your computer is OK. Try a different monitor on your computer, too.

Reinstalled Windows XP on an old computer (DELL Dimension 2400) and the monitor won't display above basic resolution. Downloaded and reinstalled the monitor driver and still no good. Opened up START

According to the Dell Support web site the Dell Dimension 2400 has a built in Intel 3D extreme graphics adapter, assuming you are using this and not a PCI graphics card.

Go to the Intel Download Centre and run their Intel Driver Update Utility which will automatically scan your system for updated drivers for any installed or integrated Intel devices.

If the Intel Utility identifies an updated driver for your graphics adapter then download and install that which should enable you to configure a higher resolution for your display.

Samsung samtron 55v display problem

assuming that u r a professional..
i guess there is no problem with ur monitor, it sounds like itz due to graphic adapter..either the adapter on ur system main/mother board/agp/pci/pcie is damaged or itz simply 'driver corruption'..
don't panic..check for driver update/download n reinstall graphic/display driver..
however, 1st make sure that the Screen Resolution (1024x768 or as applicable) and Color Quality (32 bit or as applicable) is correct..from Display Settings->Settings tab..
always better to contact system admin/vendor....

NO DISPLAY :(

the resolution setting may have been in inadvertently change to one that your monitor does not support you mentioned that you have another monitor that does work with your computer what i would do is to set the video resolution to the lowest possible setting and the turn off the computer and connect the questionable monitor to your computer and reboot if it does come up then you will be able to make changes and find an appropriate resolution for your monitor
