I tried everything suggested above and on other sites, which included updating time and date, cleaning history, cleaning registry, re-installing Chrome, downloading new certificates from Microsoft. Nothing worked. I went to my Antivirus Program (Bit Defender). Under "Privacy" find the switch for "Scan SSL" Turn switch off. Now Chrome works great!

hello, this is the problem with the SSL security certificate.. to solve this problem in firefox ... first when this error is displayed there wil be a link that says " add this certificate " , click that link and add the certificate to ur browser.. the problem will be solved ... or else go to internet options in ur browser and check for certificate settings .then download the certificate from google with the option given there....
your problem can solved by set your time and date of your pc so your date and time is up to date, you can set them by double click time icon under the top corner your desktop, set your date and time up to date, Fix Ya
