Amana Air Command 80 SSE gas furnace will not stay running

I have a Amana Air Command 80 SSE gas furnace. The furnace exhaust blower will start then it will ignite, then the cold air blower will start up. The furnace appears to run well for a short time then it will shut down. If I wait and watch the error light during the start up process and immediatly after the first shut down the light is blinking 7 times (Low flame sensor) If I don't wait and come back later to check the error light it will be blinking one time, (lock out to many restarts) Can anyone tell me what to check? Thank you!

In the path of the flame on the last burner that starts, there will be a small rod. That rod is the flame sensor. Take a scrub pad and polish it. Also check the electrical connection that goes back to the circuit board. Disconnect any ground wire from the circuit board to furnace cabinet, sand it and replace it.

Amana Air Command 80 SSE gas furnace will not stay running
I cleaned flam sensor but still problem did not solve.
I had nest learning thermos installed 2 years ago. It lost connection to my phone because of low battery. Google said charge battery via usb socket for an hour. After that nest was back on line but heat was not working.
I replaced nest with my old thermostat and now heat is working.
control board has red light lit continuously and that means lost connection to thermostat.
Nest customer service can not accept that it was their fault.

What if I replace 1/3 blower motor with 1/2 motor on Amana 80 SSE Furnace?

The important consideration is the rotational speed and adding extra horsepower really doesn't achieve anything because the motor isn't really under 'load' as it would be in say a winch. It is better to stick to OEM Specs

Motor might be bad and shutting down on thermal protection. Is this a direct drive or belt driven ? .if belt driven try adjusting the belt tension or just replaced the motor

Will a wireless thermostat work with my amana command 80 sse furnace?

Yes. A wireless thermostat will work on your Amana furnace. I like the Honeywell wireless thermostats. The only problem I have had is exceeding the distance between the wireless thermostats location and the control module that you mount and wire up next to the furnace.

How do i reset power to thermostat from amana furnace is there a reset for controls?

The manual says it should automatically reset. However to manual reset the unit it says to "interrupt" the power supply. --which I think means unplug/turn off electric to unit for 20 seconds. If you do not have the manual go the manuf website and download it. --Also, this is a Goodman unit. If it does not reset something else it wrong that is preventing the unit from starting for safety reasons.

Have you cleaned your flame sensor? Take a piece of emery cloth or a piece of light sand paper and sand it a little. It is located in the burner section and it is usually to the left side of the unit and it looks like a L. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have a Amana Air Command 80 model #GHI90A50, 22 years old. This furnace is on its third ingnition module (last one two yeras ago). The symptom I am trying to diagnose has been ongioing since this...

If your furnace lights and the gas stays on for 8 to 10 seconds, then shuts right back off, then you need to clean your flame sensor with light sand paper or steel wool. You might need a new flame sensor, but most of the time they can be cleaned an will work well after cleaning.

Need to know what size Blower motor I need for and Amana SSE 80 furnace.

The blower size is selected based on the details of your home. The size of the motor must match the tonnage of the A/C. The tonnage of the A/C will be determined with a heat gain/loss calculation.I believe there are at least 2 options for this furnace 3 Ton, and 4Ton.
