I have a floppy disk that I have been able to access until recently. Now I get an error message that says the a: drive is not accessible no ID mark address was found on the floppy disk, but a system check shows the drive is okay & just before this started I was able to access the diskette.

Try using diskette in another pc drive,if it works copy data to new diskette, its not unusual for diskettes to wear out thro constant usage.

SOURCE: I am now unable to access a floppy disk that I had

Try changing the stting switch on the disk. I think it is for formatting or something like that. Try moving it to the opposite direction and then put it in your computer again ;) Good Luck

Recently had D1 color screen. Now I cannot load floppies or disks. I keep getting error messages. I did re calibrate the machine. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thx

Sound like your floppy disk drive has failed. However, if you have a vacum that will blow, try blowing air into the disk drive in case it has some thread or other debris in it. Good Luck!

Driver for Teac FD-505 Combo Floppy Drive?

You may have to enable 'A' drive through the bios. Depending on the bios, you need to hit F1 or F2 or F10 at initial start up. You can hit all three at once and get into the bios. Then navigate your way through the bios to find where to enable and disable drives.

Start up error message issue: floppy disk fail

if im correct, you havent installed a floppy drive yet...
while the comp is booting press esc (on some comps its F10 it should say on the screen) and access the boot sequence..in there there is a list of boot items...they always list floppy drive as the first boot drive in case you need to recover your comp...remove floppy drive from your boot list making sure that your hardrive (C) is first drive to boot.
After you get your comp set up, you may want to change that sequence in case you ever have problems with your HDD

I am unable to access my teac FD-05PUW usb floppy disk disk drive it come up in my computer as disk B but when I try to assess the drive it tells me the disk is not formatted but when I attempt to format...

Solution 1.
Try using the Installation CD or Utiltity CD that came with your drive to format it.

If theres a Utility CD then install it on your computer and try formating it from the utility application.

If the windows error messages still persist then try formating it with the windows default options or NTFS option.
