When i plug my iphone 4s into my pc with itunes running it doesnt recognize the phone, cable is good pc makes sound when i plug in

There are several methods you can try to fix this issue. One of them shows below.

How to Fix iTunes Not Recognizing iPhone in Windows 10 Before You Begin:
  • Make sure that you have the button Trust this computer on your iPhone when connecting to your PC.
  • Make sure that you have installed all Windows updates. This is to make sure that your computer device drivers are up to date.
  • Make sure your iPhone USB cable works well.
  • Make sure your iOS device is turned on.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
  • Now, the following solution may help you fix the iTunes issue if you found that your iTunes does not recognize iPhone in Windows 10 computer.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to computer and wait for some time until the device is recognised.
Step 2. Right-click "Computer", Go to "Device Manager". Then expand category "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and locate "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver".

Step 3. Right-click "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" and click "Update Driver Software". On the pop-out window, choose "Browse my computer for driver software".

Step 4. Then choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".

Step 5. Click "Have Disk..." button.

    Step 6. Click "Browse".

Step 7. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers". Then double-click the usbaapl file. If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, this file will be called usbaapl64.

If you don't see usbaapl64 here or if there isn't a Drivers folder, look in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers".
Then you need to install the driver for your Windows 10. After installing, unplug your iPhone, then reconnect it using USB cable. Open your iTunes and see if your iPhone can be detected or recognized by iTunes.

My i phone just shut down, and when i try to charge it, what appears is an image of a charger and "i tune "

This is normal behaviour for a new iPhone, you need to install iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/ The screen shows a USB cable and the iTunes logo. For first time use, you need to set up your phone and sync it with iTunes. After you have downloaded and installed iTunes, open it by clicking on the icon that should have been placed on your desktop, and then plug your iPhone in via the USB cable. iTunes will guide you through the process.
This can also occur if you have had some error with your phone, in this case, it is prompting you to restore the original software, this is also accomplished the same way as above. This screen also may have accidentally shown up if you kept the home (bottom) button pressed while plugging it into your computer if it was off.
If you are confident that no error occured with your phone, try pressing the sleep and home buttons at the same time and holding them for 10seconds. The phone should start up normally. If not, then continue the iTunes procedure illustrated above.

Tryed reseting iphone now phone stop working seeing USB and itune

Try blowing at the bottom of the phone and plugging it in an out several times.
If recovery mode is not working, make sure it is plugged in.
Hold down the Power and Home buttons for roughly 7 seconds until you see the screen go out.
Wait several seconds to make sure that it doesn't power back on.
Once you have the phone off, hold down the home and power button for 10 seconds before letting go of the power button.
There should be nothing on the screen and it should appear as though it is off.
It may take several tries to do this correctly.
    Does itunes recognize it now?
