There are just two screws on the back. Remove the screws to take off the back cover. You can then access the batteries.

You will find replacement batteries at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

I need a new battery installed in my Norelco 7845 XL, It's at least 10 yrs old, & has new blades in the head. Where do I send it, & how much.??

Hi jimkaem,

You can find valuable resources for the 7845XL including manuals and FAQ's:

http://ow.ly/5XMkD

The batteries for this shaver are built-in. Do not try to replace the batteries yourself.

If you have problems with the built-in batteries, take the appliance to your local service center to have them checked and/or replaced by a professional.

I have a Norelco 4845 XL rechargeable razor that has not been used for about 8-10years. I took it apart and the batteries seem to be coroded around the terminals. What can I use to clean the terminals...

It would not be a good idea to try to use the shaver with those batteries...even if you cleaned them. If you intend to use the shaver, you should replace the batteries. You will find correct batteries at shaversource.com

How do you get into and change the battery in the razor model 3805 xl I have the screws out but does not want to come apart!

Remove the head, then remove the screws. There is usually another screw under the pop-up trimmer so be sure to remove that one two. When ALL the screws are removed you can gently pry the case apart. Once you've done that you will need to desolder the battery connections from the circuit board and then solder in new ones. You'll need batteries with solder tabs which can be ordered from various online merchants including Radio Shack.

I have a Norelco 5822 XL cordless electric shaver. Suddenly it went dead and wouldn't take a charge. I took it to Batteries plus where the salesman said the batteries were completely dead. He changed the...

If the old batteries were corroded, that may have damaged the circuit board. If the batteries were getting hot before the shaver died, the heat may also have damaged the circuit board. It is also very possible that the salesperson did not do a good job installing them as they are not trained in replacing batteries in shavers.
