How to install destop printer in ubantu - Epson Stylus C86 InkJet Printer

Hi,
1. Just hook up your printer to your linux machine and reboot your system
2. your system will automatically detect and installs your printer.
3. If not, then goto control panel .. find printers settings from there and manually add the printer. You may have to select your exact printer model while adding your printer manually to the linux machine.

Follow these steps

1. Click Start and open the Control Panel.
   
   
2. In the Control Panel window, click Printer under Hardware and Sound.
   
   
3. Click Add a Printer. (If you do not see Add a Printer, right-click in the Printers window and select Add Printer from the menu.)
   
   
4. Select Add a local printer when the Add Printer wizard window appears.
   
   
5. Select the port the printer is connected to from the drop down window beside Use an existing port, then click Next.
   
   
6. Select Epson under Manufacturer and your printer model under Printer, then click Next.
   
   
7. In the Type a Printer Name window, Set as the default printer is automatically selected. Uncheck this option if you have another printer you will be using as the default printer. Click Next to install the driver.
   
   
8. Make sure the printer is directly connected to the computer and that the printer is ready to print. Click Print a test page to test the printer.
   
   
9. Once the test page has been printed, click Finish to exit the wizard.
