Check that the power switch is working. These systems use a momentary switch to tell the power supply to come on and this connects to pins on the motherboard.

Are her any lights on the motherboard? Lots but not all, have a LED to indicate that power is coming to the mother board to operate the power switch circuit.

Also, are you sure you go the power connect to the processor hooked up? With out this connector it will not do anything.

I have a Samsung plasma tv that got struck by lightning and wont work. I replaced the power supply panel and it still wont come on. Do you know what else it could be.Could it be the actual power cord?

Chances of lightning damaging the power cord are slim to none, unfortunately it could be almost any board in the set, check the various power supply voltages on the boards and see if they are correct, almost every board has a power supply in it

Where is My Philips 32pfl3505d f7 LCD TV fuses

I assume you are referring to the ac fuse, it is located on the power supply board. Just follow the ac power cord and it should lead you to it. If your set doesn't have a built in power cord, the fuse will be next to the power cord connector.

Acer x3400 wont start up

Remove the Power Cord and then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in and press the power button. If it reboots you had a Static Charge Buildup and released it by holding the power button for 30 seconds.

When you press the power button do you hear the fan running, disk drives running, cd drive clicks once, anything on the lcd screen? If not I would think your Power Supply is bad and needs to be replaced.

It's either the Power Supply or Motherboard.

Where does the video card go in a t3302 model emachine?

This particular model have AGP expansion slot located on motherboard, as this is rather obsolete computer, I am not sure if this is financially viable solution.

You will need phillips screwdriver.

To proceed with upgrade:

1. Switch off computer,
2. Remove power cord and monitor cord, if you want, you can disconect all remaining cords as well, but only if you are moving computer elsewhere.
3. Remove two thumbscrews holding left side (grill) panel, then slide it back and lift off
4. AGP slot is located below processor, just above white PCI slots, it is offset slightly towards front of the computer. If there is little screen mounted in first hole, remove it, depending how it is mounted by either, removing of the screw, or breaking it from the case.
5. Orient your card and insert it firmly in AGP slot, card should fit snuggly without bending or excessive force. Use screw to mount it to the back of the case frame.
6. Connect all cables, monitor cable to new installed video card, start your computer and check if there is display, if you have BIOS display, switch off computer, you installed your video card correctly.
7. Replace side moving it in reverse to removal, hung it first on the top and then slide forward, secure it back with thumbscrews.
8. Start back your computer
9. Install video drivers and setup your display to desired resolution.

Enjoy!

The t.v powers on for just a second and clicks off. I can hear a click from the back and it recycles off/on over and over.

open the set remove all but the ac cord connectors from the power supply; label them first! turn on the tv if the power supply does not recycle turn off the set and, connect and, disconnect each cable one at a time going to the power supply turning the set on and, off each time as you test until the power supply cycles (fails) again then repair or, replace the circuit board that causes the power supply to fail. if the power supply cycles on and, off (fails) with all connectors but, the ac cord disconnected repair or, replace the power supply.

My compaq presario 2100 will not start up the power cord plugs in and when you wiggle it it somtimes would work but now wont at all. thank

1. You possibly have a damage ac cord
or you have damaged connecting plug at the PC .
2. try to obtain a new AC cord.
3. Another possibility is the power supply for the PC needs replacement.
4. A PC technician can determine this for you.
Contact Compaq for repair rates because most likely this is a special power supplied system.

My gateway desktop PRB 510S, if I turn it off and unplug it or electricity goes off, the computer wont start back again. Wont do anything. No lights no fan, nothing. Then 5 to 10 minutes after I turn it on...

Try connecting a different power supply to it. If the same situation repeats, then it's an internal (motherboard) problem. If the problems go away, then the power supply needs to be replaced.

6 years... I'm surprised the PSU even lasted that long! The power supply is the cheapest part of the PC and usually one of the first parts to fail. Don't worry, a replacement power supply is not too expensive. Good luck!

My A215 wont stay powered up. It shut down and

Try running the computer on the Battery power and check if the power sustains. If not, then disconnect the power cord and remove the battery and leave it for a few hours then try turning it on.

If the problem exists then the power supply unit is required to be replaced. You may contact service center to get the power supply unit replaced.
