Try to set your channel to either 1 or 11.set also your router's broadcast setting to 'mixed'.place your wii near router with no interference from microwaves or such.if router setting is set up to allow only selected pc's (or mac addresses),don't forget to include wii's mac address to enable it to have access to the router.if your router password type is wpa, make sure also you know whether it's wpa-psk AES,wpa2-psk AES or wpa-psk TKIP,you need to consciously choose the right one on your wii internet setting.also, you could switch the dns ip addresses around like put 2nd ip address in primary and 1st ip address in secondary.no guarantees, hope this helps.

SOURCE: nintendo wii

This may go beyond the factory settings, (completely renewed). Goto the wii options menu and click wii settings, and go all the way to the end and click format wii system memory, and read the description to make sure you want to do this and then click format if you want to restart or go back. Note: this is the only icon on wii settings menu that illuminates yellow while the others illuminate blue.

Cant get on line with wire less

You have to go into settings and have the WII detect the WI-Fi router and then enter the passcode for the WII to login to the router.

Any more questions let me know.

When i try to play black ops multiplayer on wii, it would said please wiat like normal but then i'll be waiting forever and it'll never let me play. i have perfect wi-fi to. my other games work just fine...

From looking around, it looks like some type of bug. They are working on a patch that will hopefully be released soon.

Here are some instructions I found at Support Forum.
  • From the Multiplayer menu
  • Select Profile
  • Create a new profile
  • Select "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connect" and wait to see if you login
  • If you are able to login, select Profile again
  • Change back to your original profile
  • Select "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connect" again, and you should be able to play on your original profile.
  • If you are still not able to login please refer to the rest of the information on this page.

Cant connect wii to internet

The unit can connect to the Internet by utilizing its 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, which is built in, for wireless connections or via a USB-to-Ethernet adaptor for DSL connections.
For your wireless connection or Wi-Fi, the 802.11b Wi-Fi has a data rate of 11 Mbits per second and has an indoor range of 30m or approximately 98 ft. The 802.11g has the same indoor range, however the data rate is at 54 Mbits per second. If you have an existing wireless connection or are in a Wi-Fi hotspot, the unit will connect to your wireless connection automatically out of the box. If you do not have a wireless network, however, you will need to have your wireless network subscription done or set-up first. Once you have wireless Internet access, you then search for your access point, put in your security settings and you’re good to go. It would also be advisable to have a wireless router for this so that you won’t have to shuttle the connection between your PC and your Wii. wi-fi-usb-connector.thumbnail.jpgAnother option would be to connect your Wii via the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. This accessory allows Nintendo Wii users who do not have an existing Wi-Fi connection or a compatible Wi-Fi network to create one through their broadband or DSL connected computer. This is inserted into your existing computer’s USB port and the Wi-Fi USB Connector acts as a wireless access point for the Wii. This allows the user access to the internet and to play Wi-Fi Connection games from Nintendo Online.
nintendo-wii-lan-adapter.thumbnail.jpgFor your DSL connection, however, you will need to have quite a few things. You can use a WII LAN adapter to connect your Wii to your DSL modem. You can also use a router so that you can use your PC and your Wii at the same time. With the LAN Adapter though, to use or plug in the Wii, you must disconnect your PC. This can be quite tedious since you will have to plug in and out your PC and your Wii every time you need to use one or the other. A LAN Adapter is fairly cheap, but if you get a router, your PC and your Wii can go online at the same time, saving you the hassle of connecting one or the other when you need them. You can then hook up the existing ethernet cords to the back of the router and connect it to the Wii via a USB 2.0 cord.

i hope this helps

Wii wi-fi

You need to go through the wireless setup on the Wii settings page to ensure that the security settings are coorrect. You may also need to check the placement of the Wii because if you keep it in a TV cabinet it might not be able to get the signal.
