If the default username and password (admin/1111) are not working on your Xerox 7435 printer, you can try resetting the password to its default settings using the following steps:
Turn on the printer and wait for it to boot up completely. Press the button with a wrench icon on the printer's control panel to enter the settings menu. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Security" option and press the OK button. Select the "User Authentication" option and press OK. Enter the current password, if you remember it. If you don't remember it, leave it blank. Select the "Reset User Accounts" option and press OK. Select the "Restore Defaults" option and press OK. Confirm that you want to restore the default settings by selecting "Yes" and pressing OK. After you have completed these steps, the printer's password will be reset to the default settings (admin/1111). You should now be able to log in to the printer's settings menu using these credentials.
If you have forgotten the admin password for your Xerox WorkCentre 3225, you can reset it to the default factory settings using the following steps:
Turn off the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
Access the control panel: Press and hold the "0" button on the printer's control panel while turning on the power switch. Keep holding the "0" button until "Accessing Service Menu" appears on the display.
Access the Diagnostics menu: Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow button until "Diagnostics" is highlighted on the display, then press the "OK" button.
Access the Service Tools menu: Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow button until "Service Tools" is highlighted, then press the "OK" button.
Reset the password: Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow button until "Reset Password" is highlighted, then press the "OK" button. Enter "1111" when prompted for the password and press the "OK" button.
Restart the printer: Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow button until "Restart System" is highlighted, then press the "OK" button. The printer will restart and the password will be reset to the default.
Note that resetting the password to the default will remove any custom settings or configurations you have set up on the printer. It's also important to note that some models of Xerox printers may have slightly different steps, so it's always best to refer to the user manual or contact Xerox support for assistance if you're unsure about any of these steps
The default ID and password are "11111" and "x-admin" respectively. When accessing the administrator menus on the copier the code 11111 is used. I couldn't find a way to reset specifically.
I believe you should be able to access the Admin Menu by pressing the System button on the operator panel. A password is required to enter Admin Menu when Panel Lock Set is set to Enable. To Disable the Panel Lock you will need a password. The factory default panel password is 0000. Hopefully you haven't changed that. This procedure is described in the manual on pages 315 ff. I believe from there you can go in and assign a new Admin password if required.
First you have to enable the admin mode: press and release: (down arrow) * # on SOS1 change the 8th bit to 1 (counting right to left) ie: 00100001 to 10100001 {press OK to confirm} Now the admin menus are enabled. To <Erase all. Reset to default configuration> press (and release): (down arrow) #7
If you're locked out of the NVRAM reset from the control panel, you can still try performing a network reset by going to the Network menu and selecting Clear Setting. After rebooting, you should be able to get in through the administrative web interface at http:// using the default username of admin and password 1111
xerox machines come with default passwords. once that password is changed only the changer knows it. should he forget or lose the password he flat has a problem. the reset requires a xerox laptop/tech to reset and they "will bill" you for doing it.
By default there is no username or password required to access
CentreWare Internet Services. If a username and password have been
configured for CentreWare Internet Services and you do not remember the
username and / or password, reset the printer to factory defaults
(NVRAM reset). To reset the NVRAM, go to the front panel's Main Menu:
Select Troubleshooting, then press the OK button.
Select Service Tools, then press the OK button.
Select Reset NVRAM, press the OK button.
Select Reset NVRAM and Reset Printer NOW, then press the OK button to
reset all the settings to their factory default values.
That is a print head tilt error. Either the print head pivot block is contaminated with ink or the wiper blade is tacked to the print head.
Let me know if you want to try to resolve it yourself, I will send you directions.
If you go to the Xerox.com site and click support and drivers. enter phaser 8550 and there is a printhead update you need to get, You have to fill out a form.
That may be your problem since there is no fault code.
Unfortunately that doesn't work, although I may have the incorrect default username as well. I was trying to use "admin" for the username. I've also used 11111, but still no luck. I may have to reset the NVRAM.
Unfortunately someone had changed it from the default.
