Hi Dan,
The wires are from the front panel. HDD LED which causes an led (usually red) light to turn on when the Hard Drive is active. The PWR LED turns on an LED light (usually green) when you turn on your computer. The PWR S/W turns on your computer when you press the on button of your computer. The front panel connector riser is usually located on the bottom right of your computer. They fit on little pins. Unfortunately there is no standard, so connections vary. Sometimes the pins are labeled on the motherboard. . Check your manual. For more info do a google search for "Motherboard front panel connectors". Hank

Harddisk (access) LED, Power LED and power button...

There is a pin header on the motherboard to which this cables have to be connected. It usually is located near the lower right corner of the board (assuming that the external connectors are facing left).

Check the manual of your board for the pin assignment. The connector usually is called PANEL, SYSTEM PANEL, FRONT PANEL, etc.
The HDD LED may also be referred to as IDE LED in the manual.
Take care about the polarity (+/-) of the LEDs.

Power Button wire to mother board power led power sw HDD Led . what pin connects to the three wires from power button. Led Power wire to what pins, HDD Led to what pins and power SW to what pins on the...

There are may motherboards, but most have writing on them as to what is suppose to plug where. For example, for the power switch, the lettering might be "Pwr" or "Power" or "Pwr sw". The pins are usually together and should fit the plug on the end of the wire.

Gateway 506GR Front Panel

did you replace the motherboard? if you did with a non gateway replacement there is a good chance you will have to re-wire the buttons.

if not, just look for an oddly shaped "gateway" plug that plugs into the receiving socket on the MB. If you dont own a multi meter and soldering iron now is a good time to invest. also get some wire strippers and cutters.

Hi there.
On the motherboard look for the front panel, it should be marked PWR and coloured green, also the plug that connects to it should be marked PWR_SW.
Have a look at these pictures for an idea >>>>>>
