Its just a defination for ur question Power cycling is the act of turning a piece of equipment, usually a computer, off and then on again. Reasons for power cycling include having an electronic device reinitialize its configuration or recover from an unresponsive state of its mission critical functionality, such as in a crash or hang situation. Power cycling can also be used to reset network activity inside a modem. Power cycling can be done manually, usually using a switch on the device to be cycled; automatically, through some type of device, system, or network management monitoring and control; or by remote control; through a communication channel. In the data center environment, remote control power cycling can usually be done through a Power distribution unit, over TCP/IP. In the home environment, this can be done through home automation powerline communications, via IP protocols (wired or wireless), or by phone line.

After installing the program, the printer still can not work. The suggestion is that the port to which the printer is connected is not supported.Check the port.I want to know why? Thanks in advance

first of all power cycle your printer and your system and then check (first power cycle your printer and then system), if that does not work then go to your device manager and uninstall you USB hub completely and restart your system,by doing this USB driver will get reinstalled and communications between your printer and system will be good again and print will start happneing again.

Red light is on and the printer will not work!

Do a POWER CYCLE by following the following:

1. Press and hold the power button for 5-7 seconds. The printer will turn off.

2. Turn it on again.

3. Test print.

It should work. The best fix for this kind of problem is to do the power cycle.

Error 49

This is a comm error between the formatter board and the printer. Try an nv ram, cycle the power off, hold down the down arrow and the cancel button and cycle the power on while still holding. Hold until permanent storage is displayed. If this doesn't work call hp, 1800-334-5144.

My hp psc 750 the dont scan but the printer work

hi
Clean the upper part of the scanner glass with soft cotton cloth. Ensure their are no visible marks on the glass.

If the printer power cable is connected to the surge protector, connect it directly to the wall jack and then perform power cycle on it.

Follow the steps below to power cycle your all-in-one:

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the connection port.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.

After performing power cycle, you need to perform semi-full reset.

Press and hold Cancel and the Left Arrow key on the front panel keypad, while plugging in the power cord.
Put the printer as stand alone and try copying any normal document by placing it on the scanner glass.

Issue persists check if the scanner bulb is glowing and also able to move. If the scanner bulb is either not moving or glowing, the problem is related with hardware and needs to be serviced.

"cycle power"? printer not responding

Hi,

Try unplugging the printer for an hour from everything (PC and power) then reconnect (that's basically what the message wants you to do).

Printer continuously cycles power.

hey, i need your help.i bought a Brother MFC-210C, i was experiencing a power cycle problem so i decided to do a firmware update. Durning the update everything was going fine until i got an error stating that the "Stop botton was pushed" and the communication link was broken. I did not pushed the stop botton but it said that it was which was strange. But on the printer lcd, it showed that the update in pregress even though the firmware tool was closed on my system. After leaving the printer that way for about 15minutes i decided to unplug the printer due to the fact that the power key nor any other was responding. When i turn the printer back on i got a ring and there are only blocks on the printer lcd along with the 4 lights for the copier, scanner, memory cards etc on. When i attempted to reconnect the printer, i'm unable to install the drivers and i'm bring prompt for drivers for a "USB device" another "USB Device" and a "BrotherBHL2-Maintenance" driver. I'm lost and don't know what to do. i've tried several web searches and without any success in solving this problem. I need to use my printer for school so is there anyway in which this can be fixed? I'll accept any help. thanks
