I have an avol lcd tv. my tv is not operating with remote and have no remote code remote is ARC-U1 tv model is ALT2260M. Please tell me hoow to apply code and which code is ti be applied on the remote.

First off, make sure your remote is a Universal Remote Control. If it is the one that came with your Hitachi Television, then it won't work as those are specifically made for just your TV set.
If you do have the Universal Remote, it should have come with a booklet that lists all of the codes for all of the audio/video equipment it will work with, You can also find this information along with instructions on the website of the brand name of your remote control (i.e. Logitech go to logitech.com)
To offer more helpful assistance I would need to know the make/model of your remote control and the make and models of the different components you are adding to it.

I use a Logitech Harmony 550 that programed very easily and performs all the functions I needed to control all of my AV equipment.

The codes available for the URC 3300 will only operate TV's, VCR's, TV / VCR, Cable Boxes and Sattelite.

There are no codes for DVD's.

someone esle found this.. and it worked for me

Program AV1 with 20695, program TV with 10765, then switch to AV1, press select/mute, enter 933, and press select

This will allow volume and mute controls while in DTV mode and allow power on and off while in TV mode. This worked for me on the RC32 remote control.
