It seems as if somehow you assigned the 360 to the same IP address as your wireless router. On any of the devices attempt to release the current IP and grab a new one.

The only computer I have is a Dell Insprion E1505 laptop and it is connected to a "COMCAST" cable modem. Windows XP, not Vista is installed. I purchased a LINKSYS WRT54G wireless router. I installed the setup disk and connected the modem to the router, and the router to the computer as step one, but when step two had me disconnect the router from the laptop so it could connect via wireless network, it just says "easylink advisor could not establish a wireless connection with the router
two laptops, a desktop PC and my son has Xbox live. I recently bought the Linksys wireless-g router with speed boost and that didn't work. If any of the laptops were on, the other wouldn't work and my son's Xbox live would lag. I was thinking about exchanging it for the Linsys wireless-N broadband router but then I read the reviews and they were horrible. I need something of that sort but something that isn't known for being unreliable and dying.
I bought the Turtle Beach X41 Headset, and it is causing some problems with my wireless connection. Due to a number of reasons, it is not possible to directly hook up my 360 to my modem. So, if I bought a new router that can operate on a 802.11a frequency, would that help or not? My current router is a Linksys Wireless G, 2.4GHz, router. Microsoft has said that an 802.11a frequency router could fix problems with other wireless electronics. If it would help, which router should I buy? I've read a few reviews for the Linksys WGA54AG 802.11a, and everyone says it doesn't work good. Any suggestions on another brand
i tink with these you can do some thing

Xbox 360 to Windows XP?? Problems

When you hooked up the XBOX 360 it most likely, by default, made another network name but used teh same wireless hook up. Meaning when it is unplugged you need to:

1. Right click on the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen that has your wireless connections (Usually a picture of one or two computers)

2. Click on CONNECT TO A NETWORK

3. Find your network and connect.

That should work.

Xbox 360 live on wireless router

In theory you should be able to "share" your internet connection. I use a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router and I have a Linksys Game adapter on my son's 360. He has not complained about lag or slow server times unless other intensive bandwidth is being used.

Hooking up xbox live

Well, it's very possible if you are using a wireless router that your connection may not be strong enough. XBOX Live and most online gaming requires a steady. strong, high bandwith connection. A weak singnal, OR someone else using up the bandwith (i.e. someone downloading music on another computer connected to your router) can cause the problem.
If you're using a wireless connection, try moving the router and wireless game adapter closer to each other.
If you're using a hardwire connection from one of the routers outgong ports then make sure other's aren't on the internet (Or at least aren't using alot of bandwith) while XBOX Live is being used.
Please remember also that if you have a wireless network and you haven't implimented wireless secruity (i.e. WEP or WPA encryption) then your network is "Open" and anyone within range can connect and use up your bandwith,
